Can we use Seattle's offense for the rest of the year? :dizzy:

i think Ben is frustrated not because AB and Sanders are small and get pushed around, but since they are small and get pushed around they cant make the tough catch in traffic.

look around the league and most good teams have atleast 1 wr that the qb can throw the ball to in just about any spot and that wr will probably catch it.

i think most of around here can agree that Ben on most pass plays has very little time to survey the field. heck most of the time he cant even complete his drop back. AB and Sanders are the type of wrs that need time to run their route to get open. when Ben is forced to throw the ball early those 2 guys usually arent open and therefor have zero chance at making a play.

im hoping that Heath coming back will give Ben atleast 1 option to throw to knowing he will make the catch even if the pass isnt perfect, but unfortunately with the horrible oline play, Heath will probably be blocking more than running pass routes.

i think Moye needs more snaps. i would also like to see Wheaton get more, but hes not exactly a giant either.

I just read this as Ben's annual call for a "big receiver".

If they're not getting the calls, then switch the playcalling. Work on something different. Run slants the entire game. At the moment this offense seems to be playing in the name of several different ideals, none of which are actually playing to the strengths of the current roster.

Didn't he get one in Moye??? I think Ben is spot on. I'd get Moye involved more and Heath being back should help.

I don't think Ben is calling out the WRs....I think he is calling out the FO. He has been asking for a big receiver pretty much since Plaxico left. To me it is the #1 priority for this team since I think they will let Sanders walk away. Of course it would be nice to see the 2 big guys we do have play a little at some point this year if we choke the rest of the season away.

Hines was amazing and a Hall of Fame receiver. No receiver on our roster matches him.

I love when people bring up Hines because I always use this as an opportunity to say that....he was benched seven months after he was starting in the Super Bowl against the Packers. Since then, we have found nobody to replace him, in any degree, and our offense has looked very bad since his benching. I do think that this is a major issue for our offense.

Agreed no WR has replaced him in making the big catches or the leadership he brought. I see the talent in AB and Emanuel to step up but they need to. I saw some really good receptions from them and then I saw some they seemed to give up on. I don't see in them the mental toughness that Hines had; but I do realize Hines was very very unique and it's not fair to compare them to him. However, they can step up and they got paid to step up, no more excuses from them just get it done!

Ben wasn't calling them out he was stating the obvious. Some fans act like the team is in turmoil.

Tomlin said today that he doesn't expect Heath to be much of an impact player this week. He said they fully understand that Heath is not going to "come out of a phone booth wearing a cape". I'm actually glad to hear that because I've never been able to stand Superman in my whole life. LOL.

Maybe Ben needs to quit overthrowing the receivers, never heard Dan Marino complain about his smerfs, he just put the ball on em...

Still no excuse for not using Moye more, though.

    Move for More Moye Immediately!

you have to remember DUper and Clayton played in a total different NFL. sure those 2 were small, but so were most of the dbs back then. now dbs are 6 foot plus. do you think Wes Welker would have the numbers he has if he was the #1 wr on a team? not a chance. Welker is usually the 3rd guy. he gets so many catches because the #1 & #2 guys that he plays with get most of the coverage and he is usually left with 1 on 1 coverage against nickle and dime dbs.

I agree with Ben being somewhat of the problem but there is so much blame to pass around it's not funny. How can anyone right this ship when there is so much wrong.

Even Stain fans are sympathetic . What does that tell you?

We are Steeler fans and we are so use to winning and expect nothing less. It's been a tough road thus far watching a collapse of a once stellar organization. Personally for me it was when Dan Rooney became the ambassador of Ireland. From that day forward nothing made sense nor did everything come together collectively .
