If we're going to have a slump I'd rather it be early in the season.
If we can somehow win the next two games and get to the bye healthy then get Bell back we may start to look a lot better. If the o-line can somehow gel and Ben and the receivers can get on the same page we may be able to put together a run to make the playoffs.
I'm not giving up on the boys yet, I still believe!

 

I'm not giving up if we go 0-3, but if we go 0-4 our season is in the tank.

I believe I'll have another beer. I've been trying real hard to be upbeat but this team has a bunch of soft underachiever's on it. I think we can turn it around but we have no real playmakers except Heath who is out and Troy who is awesome but quiet. Can somebody go to the casino and get Peezy. We need his flare.

The defense is playing good solid football but they are not making or creating the big plays. I Believe that DL is putting them in the right places but they are stopping short of taking the game over, Less Troy who I am happy with.

The offense well they are just going through the motions. The QB and the receivers are not on the same page, the running backs are not making the right cuts or following there damn blockers (That's when the idiots block at all). Ben has no confidence in any of them and it show (At least to me). Thus Ben is forcing to much, trying to create his magic when nobody else is home.

Paulson's great catch and his inability to hold onto the ball only illustrates our broken offense. Hopefully when Heath comes back (Healthy and not before) Ben will have someone dependable. I see the talent there in Emanuel Sanders and AB but there not getting it done. Cotchery needs to be pulled so Wheaton or Moye can get a chance. I know we don't start rookies but I'm at my wit's end. I'll always be a Steeler fan but I'm not happy with the players execution right now. So I say to them, pull your head out of your butts and make a damn play. And for now I Believe that these guys are not playing like Pittsburgh Steelers; they are playing like the Brownies.

Hey, I agree, Glenn. For the record, I think we're going to beat the Bears Sunday. If we lose, all bets are off.

 

Until we get to 8 losses there is still hope of a good season!

Let's see, they lose 4 out of their last 5, lose all 4 preseason games and then lose miserably, the first 2 this season and you call that a "slump"? Slump from what? They were 8-8 last year. Were they slumping last year too?

Bell is an unproven commodity that has already proven to be injury prone. What makes anyone think "tinker" Bell will be the second coming of Franco? He has not shown anyone, anything. He played how many downs in preseason? Given that performance you are saying that getting him back will help right the ship? Personally, there is no history here. Maybe he will work out, but given his already fragile state, this is NOT the guy for ground and pound. Don't get me wrong. I hope he works out, but he has shown nothing that would lead me to believe he will be a positive.

If the O-line gels? What has kept the O-line from gelling for the last 3-4 years? Injuries partly, but every team has injuries. Basically, this line is no different from the previous 4 seasons. The difference this year is that the defense has not been able to turn the ball over, but really, the O-line has been a problem for years. If they have not fixed it by now, nothing will cause them to gel now.

How about this. If the coaches don't start coaching, then the season is over, period. The coaches are the ones driving the bus. Why is Tomlin getting a free pass here. He has had plenty of time to address these problems but yet they are the same problems year after year.

Hey this is the Believe thread, take this negativity over to one of the ten thousand fire Haley/Tomlin threads!

 

Maybe Ben will believe there is a possibility of him becoming Bill Nelsen v2.0 and play lights out this week.

 

This season depends on the oline. If they can some how get it together we have a chance. But I don't have any confidence in Adams and Gilbert. And DeCastro is still suffering from what he did to Pouncey.

It's bad when a guy who's been on the team a week is better than everyone on the oline who's been together through training camp.

Plus go back and look at Ben's scramble during the game and you will see Velesco almost take out Adams then help him up while Ben is still running for his life. Unbelieveable.

 

There are a lot of factors here when your 0-2 or 0-3 first how many games your behind in your division and how many of those losses are conference games. In our case if we go 0-4 we would only have to afc losses and be either one or two games behind the rats or bengals
