He got hit and knocked down like a bagillion times.

He may have had more time against the Bengals, but that could simply mean that they were worse (which they were), against the titans. Having more time than the last game doesn't mean that its good. Now Dalton had a lot of time.

I didn't say he had a lot of time and some of those hits were his own doing as usual. he had some more time then he usually does in that one. I think fenando helped a lot in this game, sealing up the in his face rush. no, not perfect but he had time to make throws Monday. I thought he got rid of a few way early because he was always used to the rush being there by that time.

We've run the outside zone blocking a whopping grand total of......1 time.

That's it, for anyone that has wondered, myself included, that the blocking looks the same, that's why. Just read it today, I'll see if I can find it in a little bit, but according to that article, we haven't run it and it speculates as to why, and one reason was to hide it for when Bell gets back since the current personnel doesn't fit (except for Jones I would guess). Not sure I completely understand that reasoning since Zone blocking isn't exactly revolutionary.

Yeah, once. It wasn't to hide Bell, though. At least, I doubt it. It was because Pouncey went down. Haley hasn't called a stretch play since. Gilbert said today that they'll be dialing it up this week, though.

Will Ben survive this week? Will Julius Peppers kill Mike Adams and then make it a double murder by killing Ben? I won't be surprised. Isn't Peppers the best pure pass rusher we've faced so far?

This isn't at anyone in particular, but I see a lot of comments about zone blocking. Zone blocking isn't some brand new revolutionary blocking system that the Steelers are clueless about. The Steelers have run zone blocking for years. It's just the stretch plays that are new to these guys. We have, and still do, run inside zone blocking plays.

Firing Haley does not make Adams, Gilbert and Paulson better blockers. It does not make Redman a better back, does not make Cotchery faster, does not give Sanders better hands, does not heal Heath's knee faster, etc. It also would not stop fumbles and interceptions. The problems are bigger than Haley. The Steelers need players who can execute the play.
