I'm not sure I've ever seen Noll do that. In fact, players from the 70s talk a lot about how Noll wasn't the most inspirational leader there, but he got the job done fantastically.

As I've said before, Tomlin has to take a fair share of the blame. But pinpointing it all on him is just not going to work.

This is a misconception in that because the Steelers hang on to dead wood longer than other teams, this makes them special. Special in a special way. You know, the Steeler way or so they would have you believe. We do things differently most would say and we are simply not like the other teams.

This is what the Rooney's want you to believe. It is a planned business decision. You see, they are sold out. What's to worry. Fans will still come, will still buy all the No 7 jerseys and bobble heads, meanwhile they can field a sucky team. This won't fly in many other cities, but in Pittsburgh, it is cast in steel or concrete whichever floats your boat.

For all the reasons you listed above ARE reasons for given Tomlin the ole Donald, aka, you're fired. Hey, I did not start this "the standard is the standard" and "unleash hell" drivel, Tomlin did. Yet he has shown his standard ain't my standard or for that matter the standard of this organization.

He is in control of drafts and free agents. He should have some say I would believe, so in the end, the buck stops with him. He is not getting the job done and maybe, just maybe it is time to move on. Let me work out the rest of the season, but hell no on him having any say in our top 5 pick in next years draft.

    :this!:
I should've worded that differently, that was more a cowher thing as far as the facemask goes (lloyd). Noll did have a temper at times and most certainly went after players, refs and other coaches (glanville).

That same comment was made 4 yrs ago. Tell me WHAT year we can expect this to be fixed. We use to blame Ben bc he held the ball too long but now its to the point he cant get out of the pocket. So, they fire BA, its worse with Haley.

Tomlin may be a great assist coach or a coordinator but he is not a good head coach. Do I want him fired? No. Haley....yes.

There is too much experience in the front office for them not to be able to go out and get someone that can fix this offense.

But they better act fast. The defense isnt going to last long when they are play 40 more downs a game than the offense.
