Im still holding out hope that at 1-2 we can still do this but 0-3 would pretty much but a dagger in what would be know as one of the worst season in a decade.

 

Getting Bell and Heath on the field may drastically change the production of this offense. Success running the ball can help the o-line come together

Saw today on ESPN that since 1990, only 3% of the teams that started 0-3 made the playoffs. Heres to hoping we don't go 0-3!

I don't think it's so much that were 0-2, it's how bad we've looked, that's why people are giving up.

 

If we do fall to 0-3 and the ravens and bengal lose we would still only be a game back. Last season the saints fell to 0-4 and the falcons where 4-0

 

I remember it well. Mike Kruszek started for the bulk of the season after Turk Jones of the Browns attempted to murder Terry Bradshaw on the field by picking him up and slamming him on his head, nearly breaking his neck. Look at what the Steel Curtain did that year. 5 SHUTOUTS! And several other games where they held the opponent to single digits. Where are Mean Joe, Jack Lambert, Mel Blount and Jack Ham when you need them?

Sorry, but I don't see a repeat of that this year.

There is ALOT of football left to play, lets see how it plays out. Is 9 and 7 enough to get us in the weak AFC playoffs?

 

I don't remember most of those... but my guess is those teams weren't as bad as this one.

 

Thanks for posting, JJ. Loved it! I wish we had the playmakers on defense that the 76 Steeler defense had. We've got some good players, but they don't rise to the level of that defense. The 76 defense lived on sacks and turnovers and scored dang near as much as the offense it seemed. Unfortunately, we don't have playmakers on defense, we have caretakers.

 

We can't just give up. If we can get a win against a good Chicago (2-0) team, it could bode well for the confidence level of the team.Then if we can go beat the Vikings in London. Head into the bye at 2-2. The season might be saved. But, if we go into the bye at 0-4. You might as well forget it, the season will be over, they don't have the talent to over come an 0-4 record.
