Serious question for everyone... where are the TO's? We can't buy a TO to save our lives and that's been true for like the last two seasons as well.

I don't buy this nonsense about the ball just bounces your way sometimes. We're setting records for fewest TO's. The great defenses seem to get TO's and I highly doubt that's just because the ball bounces their way all the time.

Lebeau's scheme relies on players winning one on one matchups. That isn't happening because the players drafted on D the last 5-6 years stink and there's no pressure on the Q.B. or RB's to turn it over.

    To get turnovers you need:

    Good pressure on the QB.
Aggressive reaction to the play and the ball.
Tight coverage and a willingness to go after the ball.
A mindset that says "we'll take it from you."
    Hard hitting.

Goodell took the last one away from us. The rest? We just don't have it. We're content to sit back on our heels. Soak up play after play after play only worried about not giving up a big play (which, oddly, we do anyway). Play it safe. Play not to get beat (too badly). And when the opposing QB finally makes a mistake, we can maybe get off the field (or bring out the STs to try to block a FG).

Some teams have an "eat the clock" offense. We have an eat the clock defense. We won't stop you. Not really. But we'll take a long time off the clock not stopping you.

Then we'll hang our hats on smoke and mirrors stats.

We're not even trying to strip the ball when we have the ball carrier stood up. No one is even attempting to go after the ball to cause a turnover. Horrible!
