Absolutely Jack! Lloyd was a force that needed to be game planned for every week. Just Plain Nasty, Avoid Lloyd...

This Defense is lacking that force. Jarvis Jones will be that remedy.

Yep, especially now that Harrison is gone. We need somebody with a nasty dispositon. The Steelers have had that pretty much going back to Jack Lambert and Mean Joe Greene.

i would agree with most of the time because the Steelers never allow rookies to start. After seeing that big time hit on Chris Johnson last week for the 2 yard loss I think he deserves that spot, he has shown he can play with the big boys!

That hit was nice, but it wasn't like he shed a couple of blocks to do it. The guy missed the block and Chris was there for the taking. Granted he is shifty and he could have missed, but it was one frickin hit. One hit doesn't a starter make in this league. I expect the snap numbers from last week will basically swap from week 1 with Jones having the opportunity to win the job outright.

Right, it wasn't great play by Jones, it was the poor play by Walker that was responsible for the hit on Johnson. Don't get me wrong, JJ is explosive and it shows, but that was all on the TE.

Something to be said for making the damn play that's in front of you.

How many times did we get a hand on their RB's in the backfield for them to fall forward for a 3 yard gain? That stuff adds up. It can be the difference between 3rd and 5 where you could've had them in 3rd and 9.

If Foote makes the play in front of him we get a huge momentum swing on a 4th down stop... Instead he whiffs and they convert.

Hopefully we progresses in other areas quickly though...dropping into coverage and setting the edge in run defense.

Nice hit though...love that he is wearing 95... some many great memories Mr. Lloyd!!!!!

If we are talking about the same play both Foote and Timmons wiffed on the running back ( dont remember Titans RBs name)

Foote was first and then Timmons followed with pretty much identical wiffs lol
