Bell not playing anytime soon?

This is a headline in the Twitter feeds on the front page. It is a pay site, and I can't see the comment. Any idea if it is Werder's opinion, or some fact? I understand with the O line issues it wouldn't be the best idea right now, but I thought he would be back by Week 4?

 

It was an article by Bouchette, basically he just wrote it because Bell mentioned week 2 a couple weeks ago. He's saying that's not happening.

Says Bell has said he feels good, but he's not going to see any action until he practices on it consistently... And he speculates that the team probably just waits until after the bye to be cautious, so I'd say expect him in week 5.

This team is snake bitten. Let the kid sit out the year and maybe he'll do something next year. We're headed nowhere fast anyways. 5-11 at best.

 

Yeah, I just saw that he will be out for a month, so I'd say back after the bye week. Was hoping next week, but no need to rush him back

 

None of this should be a surprise to anyone...back when he got hurt...this type of time frame was talked about. From the beginning (while having my fingers crossed) I didnt expect to see him until after the Bye week.

 

its funny i said it all along.. he will be out 6 weeks.. and all hell broke lose when i said it .. telling me how wrong i was.. just realistic.. i mean i had that injury a few years back.. playing softball on a friday night... 6 weeks to the day later i was back playing.. no surgery just rest.. of course bell has all the doctors available to him to speed the healing .. but he has to return playing at a much higher level than i did playing softball... and to those thats have ever sen me play softball the keyword is "MUCH" hahahah

I say good ,,this O-line needs to get it together, or they'll get Bell killed. Maybe they'll be playing better as a unit, by the time Bell is ready.

 

if any of them are left to play... i have never seen a team that has more trouble keeping their OL on the field.. all those high draft picks wasted on a OL that could be that good with 5 undrafted free agents... should be the best in the NFL and is one of the worst and mot injury proned.. i would love to someone like TTF that is unbelievable with stats to compare the draft picks of our line to all the others.. i bet we have more top picks than any other team .. love to see that stat...
