When is the last time our offense had an identity?

Or at least a positive one? Our D has been the Steel Curtain and Blitzburgh. Other teams have had a West Coast offense, the run and shoot, and now the read option and whatever Philly is now running - some fast paced college type game. Our offense has been more of a backyard scramble for years, which basically means the play as designed breaks down and Ben improvises. Under Cowher it was run up a lead and then run Bettis until time ran out. Without using too much sarcasm, how would you describe our offensive philosophy since Tomlin took over? Could we put a descriptive label or nickname on it?

Howz about ... "Tomlin's Train Wreck"

My question is: when was the last time the Steelers did NOT have a defensive minded head coach?

    Easy - it's a standard identity.

It's called the Can't Run and Shoot Yourself in the Foot.
