ugh the Steelers just reworked Heath's contract

No additional years or money just turned some of his base salary into signing bonus which just increases his 2014 cap hit. They're never going to get out of this salary cap hell.

 

I read it on Steelers Depot. They've got a little more info, but it's all coming from Bouchette. His 2014 cap hit was supposed to be just under 8 million so I'm guessing it will be north of 10million unless they extend him.

i told you that that our cap would have suffer with these new signing , just what i don't understand is why we don't cut before the first week all the vetran that are inactive for week one and sign them back on monday to not have to guaranteed their salary , we could have cut cody wallace whimper and other vetarn back up and active the guy that
are at lower price , not that somebody could still them from us

 

I think every team is in "salary cap hell" in one way or another...

Dude in charge(Omar Khan, or however ya spell it seems to do good), gonna suk, when he leaves..
I would pay Heath whatever we can, without sacrificing our future..
He`s worth it for what he`s done already...
Just my opinion...
Some players are worth treating right, and that gives you a reputation of being a good place to play...
