The only sane option as he already knows the offense.

Should have never been cut to begin with.

Yup, voted that way in the poll yesterday.

@Jack, someone had to be cut and whoever it was would have been called back just the same after yesterdays nightmare.

I underdstand. I would have cut Jones before I cut Dwyer though. I just don't get the excitement with Jones. The Cowboys made no serious efforts to re-sign him then the Iggles gave him away. There has to be a reason.

When Dwyer was asked how soon after the game he knew he'd be returning, he replied "I actually knew it in the 4th quarter. I was perusing Twitter when Tomlin began following me again". ;)

Dwyer had the chance to really grab the Steelers by the balls here with a contract demand. I wonder if he'll end up making more than his 1.3 mil tender.

I could see the giants bringing him in for a workout this week...

Doubtful. PLUS...his contract isn't even guaranteed at this point since the season as already started....they could sign him for 2mil and cut him after 3 games and only owe him those 3 game checks. If it was before the season started...maybe...but now he's at any teams mercy and in a way would be forced to take what he can get while he can.

in that case i will pass we need to spend more on a center now that pouncey is done , i still not understand why if the need a rb to replace lsh they take dwyer , yes he know the offense but the is a completely different kind of back

Good point, freak. Why Dwyer? There's another that knows the offense, and is more in the mold of LSH. Barron Batch. What's he been doing since he was cut? Not saying that Batch is the ultimate answer, but he is closer to the type of back LSH is.

Right, they're not going to break the bank on him. IMO, he'll get a base that's less than the tender was with a fair guaranteed signing bonus.

If bringing Dwyer back is successful, he will be demanding a big payday in the future.
Maybe Steelers could even get some good picks or trade value.

Don't hold your breath. The Steelers have already tried to trade him twice and couldn't get the value they wanted for him.
