Watching the opening kickoff Sunday, I thought that the runner did cross the goal line then step back into the end zone. Anyone at the game know if the Steeler coaching staff questioned the play or was it something the officials did themselves? Our coaching staff lead by Coach Clueless have been known to lack attention to details. From the TV could not see what or who beside the officials were involved.

I didnt see our coaches challenging it and thought it was the officials who saw it...but I could be wrong.

Does Tomlin have bionic vision, he's all the way on the sideline, like he is really going to see the runners toe just barely break the line.

They do have coaches in the box and headsets.

Then it wouldn't be "coach clueless" at fault then. Regardless, if ANY of our coaching staff picked that up, even the guys all the way up in the box, I'd be impressed. I'd say that was all on the officials.

I would expect coaches, ESP in the box to pick it up, because I saw it live and questioned it right away, as I am sure many others who were watching did.

I saw and immediately said to my buddy hey that looked like a safety. Then they showed the replay and the crowd went nuts , I looked down and the refs were all huddled up. Took them quite a while to announce it was a safety. Then they had a replay don't know if the Titans challenged or it was just standard since it was a scoring play.

it was a scoring play and all scoring plays are reviewed automatically.

But it wasn't a scoring play until the refs ruled it a safety. If they'd have blown it and spotted the ball at the 20, it would not have been reviewed automatically. But if they had ruled that way, I'm sure given the time the upstairs guys had they'd have told Tomlin to challenge.
