He continues to lead a solid unit and seems to have his guys organized and structured. Even though we are lacking sacks and INTs, we still hold opponents to low points and get the ball back for the offense...

...and then the offense can't do anything with it. The offense is completely unorganized and unstructured. The only thing you can tell by watching them is that they are unprepared.

Teams who have the number one defense, like us last year, shouldn't end seasons 8-8 and miss the playoffs. But yea that happened. How long does it take before changes are made? Real changes....not Tomlinism changes. Unleash hell? How about unleash the pink slips.

My criticism of the D is that they don't get off the field. We've allowed some long drives and at one point they actually ran 11 straight run plays. Also we had guys playing off all day. The D was on the field for probably 28-30 minutes today I would say.

The Titan's held the ball for 34:01. Defenses get tired when the offense can't move the ball and goes 3 and out, three times in a row.

Pretty sure LeBeau is frustrated with the poor offensive performance.

Blount, they don't get off the field because as soon as they leave, Ben or the backs give the ball back to the other team

Hard to do when the offense can't get a first down and keeps the D on the field all day.

I know what you're saying and I think we DID do a good job of containing CJ for sure but we did allow some long drives and actually it would've been worse today but the Titans had some costly penalties. I think overall as a team we looked pathetic today by DL's standards because we just didn't get to the qb at all. Also there was the play where the Titans fumbled and 3 Steelers didn't play to the whistle to recover it so the guy got tackled, fumbled, and between 3 Steelers HE recovered the ball. That's uncharacteristic of a DL defense. But make no mistake I believe the offense cost us this game today but going forward I think our d is gonna have to do a better job creating pressure and not playing so far off their receivers. Of course Cortez going down didn't help matters. As a matter of fact, how is he?

Was there ever an actual diagnosis or did they just say "ankle"?

Yeah, just an ankle injury that was being evaluated.

Ok. Hopefully he's good to go. Was it on the Titans first td? I never noticed it during the game.
