it was like watching them play in F-ing london in game 16 when they were 0-15 not an opener in the burg.... watching the GB niners game makes me wonder where we went wrong? i think it started the day we hired tomlin (and no canton steel i cant coach better than tomlin ... before u ask that stupid question again .. but i think theres a lot of people out there that can and would get a lot more respect from his players) just no emotion for an opener..

We actually played worse than this in Baltimore a few years ago. I don't care where you are you are paid to give all you've got and be ready to produce. But you're right it was really disgraceful.

i am not the biggest tomlin supporter in the world but the few times i seen him today he looked pretty emotional. its not college. the rah rah speeches and getting all over your players doesnt really fly in the nfl.

there comes a time when all coaches loose the room. maybe Tomlin has lost his players ears.

I didn't think it was a problem with emotion. I thought it was a problem with talent.

After watching the game can anyone tell me what are game plan was? It seems to me we didn't have one. We weren't more physical, we didn't run the ball, we didn't have a passing plan if we were down. It seemed we thought we were going to go out and dominate them without a plan.

That's it. The Defense has some continuity to it as Lebeau has all his position coaches working towrds his scheme.

From what was said last year, that's not true of the Offense. Separate blocking schemes for Pass/Run. No cohesive strategy for what the team wants to do in situational football. Wildly diferent personel groupings. No plan for who's got the better match-ups.

    And!!!!! No ingame adjustments!

Didn't Tomlin mention something about that in his post game comments? Something along the lines of needing a better game plan? Perhaps Tomlin just doesn't have a clue about the offensive side of the ball which is why our offence has sucked since he came on board. It's easy to blame Haley, and believe me I do, but lets not forget that Tomlin tells Haley what to do, not the other way around. If Tomlin wants something done a certain way, it's Haley's job to do it that way.

A couple times come to mind, aside from the Ravens game.
1986- a season with ominous parallels already to this one as I noted in another thread, when they opened with an awful 31-7 loss to the Seahawks.

1989- of course, the biggie, I think they lost 51-0 to Cleveland, and then 41-10 to Cincy the next week. Of course, by the time the season ended they were in the playoffs.

But both of those were a long time ago.

im not so sure that true.. should be .. but im not sure tomlin is telling TH what to do and i doubt MT is telling DL what to do .. hes 76 and forgot mroe about D then tomlin ever knew or will ever know .. hes more interested in a new tomlinism for the presser than a new play that might work..

If the coordinators simply did their own thing, we wouldn't need a HC. Tomlin doesn't work 80+ hours per week for nothing. It's his team and he controls the direction it goes. The coordinators take direction from Tomlin

do u realllllllllllly believe tomlin gives DL much direction? you're kidding right... DL.. guys 76 years old.. top rated D for 15 years... do u really think the rooneys let MT tell him much what to do ? and maybe we dont need a HC... if hes allowing TH to call those plays in the RZ hes as worthless as haley..

Whether or not they had a plan, they sure as hell didn't have a plan B!

It's not even close to over yet people, but I'm not gonna carry around a tape measure to gauge my personal optimism this season. Weird game, weird week, and the injuries haven't helped... We'll see
