Some people don't understand.

 

Injuries happen...pound the rock and won the game. If we beat the **** out of the 100-0, would you still want to fire BA?

HMMM ,,,,,,,,,,I't don't seem like we pounded the rock to me????/The guy with the best average only had 6 carries .........That's pretending to pound the Rock and that's a big part of why we almost lost the game.......

 

Yeah. And since when is pounding the rock sending Rahtard behind a BU Center and Ramon Foster without a real FB 4 times in a row and we can't come up with 2 yards. Call a different play for petes sake! Every time rahtard holds that ball 18 inchess out from his side as he dances around in traffic, I just cringe.

 

The game plan sucked. BA is so stupid. How can he have Redman standing on the sidelines watching SOCRATES MENDENHALL get his butt kicked? How can Tomlin let this stupid stuff happen? Redman and 8 carries for a 5.8 yard per carry average. He is standing on the side lines saying look at this Sorry S_ _ _ out their, can't get three yards in four tries. I would have scored a TD. They totally have no respect for my talents what so ever.

Lets face it, BA has no imagination at all. He has no knowledge on how to develop a running game. He is real stupid if he can't see that Redman is a better back, especially as a short yardage and goal line back. I say again, how can Tomlin let this stupid stuff go on. I blame him. I am not stisfied with his coaching. I have some serious questions about him. I'm starting to think that they don't like Redman. I can't understand how they could let Mendenhall run the ball four times from the three while Redman was standing on the sidelines. It's almost like they don't want him to get any credit or show Mendenhall up. I wonder how Redman felt after the game? I know the reporters where asking him question about the goal line situation with Mendenhall. I bet they were asking if he was hurt or something.

Real simple answer:

FIRE BA IMMEDIATELY & SEND MENDENHALL & KEMO WITH HIM!!!!!!!!! Run them out of town.

 

We were on the 2 yard line and Mendenhall was able to get 1 yard in 4 tries against the 31st ranked run defense in the NFL!!! I blame the coaches for total lack of use of their personnel. Everyone on this board knows Mendenhall runs too upright to be a short yardage back, yet they continualy try to pound him in on the goal line. The worst thing that happened was last week when he was able to score twice inside the 10 yd line. Here is the bigger problem, when the defense is in their goal line D, you need a guy who has power AND leverage! Redman almost always goes forward, he would have got the 2 yds in 4 tries even if the offensive line didnt block at all. Redman has heart and determination. He is clearly the better short yardage back and I am starting to believe he is the better back overall. I agree that Mendenhall has better speed and is a bigger home run threat, but Red does pretty well moving the sticks and thats all I care about!!!

This is amazing! The offense moved the ball up and down the field the Ward fumble and we get the ball back and Heath fumbles??? Player execution is the only problem there. Ben gets killed due to a low hit, I'm sorry but had Brady or P.Manning got hit below the waist there would have been 7 flags on the field. Now where was I? Oh, so yeah, it is BA's fault because we don't have a running game, well I guess he is responsible for R.Foster on the line? I guess he is responsible for how the rest of the o-line plays? This team can't run because the line is horrible, one of, if not, the worst in the league. Some think they can run traps and be deceptive, the problem is deception on running plays take time and they usually only work once every so often but you need some athletic guards to pull some of those types of plays off and when Legursky is at center there isn't anyone else, they are are big and slow except for Pouncy. The other problem is they seem to be weak also, yes I said it, Gilbert gets bull rushed, a lot, and he gets pushed back in run blocking by guys that are 100 poundes lighter, and the thing is it happens quite a few times a game. D Johson is a joke, defenders shed his blocks like they are removing a coat, he is useless, enough said. So, yeah BA isn't a great play caller but God himself couldn't get a running game out of the mess we call the o-line.

 

maybe, but even God wouldnt have run Mendenhall 4 times from the 2. There are 53 guys on a team for a reason, some have specialties...for example, we have a guy who only kicks FG's and kickoffs, we have a guy who only punts, we have guys who only run down the field and tackle on the kickoffs and punts....we have a guy who is very good at getting the tough yard(s)...he wears number 34...err I mean number 33. Every steeler fan on the planet knows who the better short yardage back is...everyone of us!!! I am not blaming BA for the turnovers. However there is also no proof that we score even if Ward and Miller dont fumble....the point is, bad play calling on the goal line and bad use of personnel. BA calls the personnel packages for the plays he wants to run, the blame goes on BA and only on BA for being stupid!!!

 

Just posted a similar sentiment in another thread about the crappy play calling and personnel use last night. We were damn lucky to escape that fiasco with a win.
