    Didn't understand why Green made the 53 in the first place.

    At 5'9 though, Blake doesn't inspire me with confidence.

    Hmmm, they cut Butler and brought Mesko over from the Pats to replace him.

    It's a numbers thing, Mesko has a bigger leg, averages more yards per punt than Butler. They brought Blake in for special teams, he has 4.3 speed....

    Aye. They're basically rebuilding the Special Team. And there's nothing wrong with that. Shame about Butler,did have hopes for him.

    Dale said Butler's production tailed off late in the season last year and Mesko is a proven guy outside in bad weather.

    Green getting cut was also ST move. Now does he go to the PS and D. Smith gets cut?

    I'm not surprised Hawthorne didn't make the 53, you can't make the club while in the tub, but I thought they were high enough on him that they'd PS him.

    As I have heard it said, you win with your top 25 and not your bottom 28. Our top 25 is among the top in the NFL, top 8 easy.

    He's not here to play on defense. He's here for special teams. However I'd expect them to try to add Green to the PS. I heard he looked very impressive in camp.
