Cut / Re-signed Player Question

    When a player is cut to trim down to the Final-53 Roster, then is re-signed to the practice squad, are they re-signed under their original contract or must they get/sign a new contract?

    How does that work and is it different for a drafted pick (say Justin Brown) vs a UDFA ??

    $6000/ wk is the minimum pay although teams are allowed to pay more if they wish. All practice squad pay counts toward the salary cap. Info is from SB nation
