If you were to add 8 more teams in the NFL what cities?

Would it though. They don’t really have a feeder system like we do such as high schools and colleges. It would literally have to be club teams.

 

I have been to Edmonton. I didn’t realize it was that small. It looked like about the size of Buffalo to me but perhaps the suburbs and metro could be smaller. Toronto is significantly bigger than Buffalo. It’s either their first or second largest city by population in Canada.

I thought of Austin but then you’re competing with UT. San Antonio would probably be a better option. Not sure why San Diego, Oakland and St. Louis haven’t done well with the nfl. I think Oakland did they just didn’t want to build a new stadium. I think OKC and Salt Lake City would do really well. Kind of like a Green Bay mid size cities with limited entertainment and a fan base that more than likely would be passionate and loyal.

 

I’m sure they would their twist on it. They would have to serve ranch sauce though as I heard the Europeans were taking it back Droves fro he FIFA torunamanet. I used they don’t have that over there.

 

Yeah but in Salt Lake City you can pick more than just one.

 

I remember taking my family to South Beach. I had no idea it was topless. I remember sitting there my older son was playing in the sand he was around 7 years old … and out of the water comes this huge women who was extremely endowed with no top on. My son just stared and literally dropped his toy shovel in the sand just in shock. All I could mutter to him was “I’m sorry those are the first ones you had to see in your life” I’m concerned to this day that it could have ruined him.

 

They'd have to build it up. Doesn't happen overnight. It's a long game type of thing. Get the kids that are in elementary school wanting to have football clubs and then eventually the high schools can have teams and play on the soccer fields or whatever. I think it is fine. Same thing happened with hockey in Columbus, OH. 2000 when the Blue Jackets came to town, no kids playing hockey. Now there are a number of Columbus, OH natives in the NHL. Thriving HS hockey scene and kids leagues. Just has to be done right.

 

Yeah, Toronto is like Houston or Atlanta in size. Its big. I just meant weather wise is similar to Buffalo. Edmonton is just... colder. I've been to Edmonton too, though it was a short pass through on my way to Fort McMurray (literally nowhere).

I don't think pro sports compete too hard with college in Texas though... maybe in SEC country (I know that Texas is SEC now lol) but I think there is a shot Austin does okay... but I kinda agree with you that San Antonio might do better. San Diego, Oakland, and Saint Louis would all have fan bases that would welcome a return... so I think each of them would do pretty well. I think if you put the Saint Louis team in a conference with LA Rams for the memes lol

OKC and Salt Lake City are great options. They are more like New Orleans or Nashville in size... Green Bay is tiny. They definitely seem like they'd have a good fan base though. Portland seems like it would be an easy sell too.

Oddly, I think a New Mexico team could do okay. Albuquerque is big enough in size, and MAYBE that could work... Idk, though. It might not work at all. Orlando is another option, big enough in size... but 4 Florida teams dilutes the fan base and it would be another "tourist" fan base like Las Vegas, just to a smaller degree. I personally don't think it would work, but it could be a consideration.
