They should have done this no matter what IMO.

After game 1, we decided that Mason was QB2 because Howard wasn't as good as he was.

Then, the next question should have been "is Allar also better than Howard?". And if the answer was yes, then we should have tried to get Howard on the PS instead of the 53 IMO.

It probably doesn't matter much. But I don't see why we didn't give Allar a shot throwing to people who could catch.

    We don't rebuild though.

    We try to "retool".

But at some point, everything is just being held together by duct tape. And putting more duct tape on the system is just hiding from the fact that there's real work to be done.

I think it would have been better this year if we didn't bring Rodgers back. Let Mason start the year and have the kids try to take the job from him.

Now we're just putting off the rebuild for another year (again).

Eventually this balloon has to pop IMO.

    Because we're not rebuilding.

It's true that we have 11 rookies (10 drafted 1 UDFA). These guys are mostly bottom of the roster guys.

I think it's also true that we have the oldest average age of any team in the league.

And the old guys are key starters (e.g., Rodgers 42, Cam 37, Watt 31, Ramsey 31).

i don't think there is a ballon to pop. with all the draft picks being kept and a couple of higher draft picks by MT being let go and the better ones being kept means something. knowing some long time vets will help the young players is not a bad thing as some are trying to spin it. aaron rodgers is still a very smart QB and can pass on things that a younger QB just can't. cam heyward the same. a retool and a rebuild can be done as one and the same. every player we have is learning from new coaching and having vets to help will make it a smoother transition.
