Name 5 Favorite War Movies

Have to include The Great Escape in there somewhere. Glad it was never remade with all the Holly-yoohoos like Clooney and Pitt. Original production and cast were great.

 

Personally I liked Tora Tora Tora for the attack on Pearl Harbor but I'm old. The newest one which I just re-watched, aptly named, Pearl Harbor was certainly modernized but I didn't need the love story stuff. The attack scenes were awesome.

Once saw a good documentary on it where they interviewed one of the Jap pilots. I think he was one of few still living. He talked about getting his ass reamed out because he missed his intended target. He missed battleship row and hit some old ship being decommissioned. Sadly on way back to carrier he did some strafing.

 

That was based somewhat ona true story

When I was in Venice George Clooney was there at the film festival. He was on one of those gondolas I was told but way to far away for me to see. I'm not a person to go gaga over movie stars anyway.
