We have had any number of big bodied strong RBs who don’t make it. A flash from the past - Isaac Redman was a fan favorite. Never panned out. There are plenty of examples like that.

I didn't look back that far in Steelers draft history. Blount was drafted before the epic '74 draft. Not really familiar with those other than Franco, Mean Joe and Bradshaw.

There were 17 rounds back then and fewer teams, so Blount would have easily been a 2nd rounder in drafts since 2002.
