Won't have Broderick Jones around to kick anymore....... he just got traded to the cowboys

 

Trade: the Steelers are sending 2023 first-round pick Broderick Jones to the Dallas Cowboys, per source.

 

Saw that. Any report on compensation?

 

They are taking him, how much more can we fleece them

He played well, IMO. Someone will likely snap him right up.

That's a very good deal for the Steelers, especially considering that Jones was done here.

Not sure. His contract being fully guaranteed means a chunk of what's left moves to dead cap.

 

This could be huge news for backup center Ryan McCollum making the 53-man roster.

Also, could mean we are going to see a trade for a starting RT.

That is inarguable among the sane. Pickens is far better, and there hasn't been a hint of trouble since he signed his franchise tag.

 

Ok. I didn't see a good preseason out of Allar or Howard. The gurus whoever they are are wrong. Rudolph is going to be the backup with probably Allar at Uber three. Allar showed you what he is with those awful throws in the closing minutes of the game. So on we go

Worth trying to squeeze him on the practice squad. He was always going to have a hard time making the team given what was in front of him, but if no one signs him we should stash him.

 

I guess it was Crippen and McCollum who was the backup centers in the preseason games, but neither of those guys aren't likely going to be on the 53. I have been hearing Hoffman is going to be the backup center.

 

I disagree I predict there is zero chance Allar sees the field this year. If Rogers goes down, you will see Mason Rudolph.

 

Maybe they bring Davis back for the practice squad.

 

There is a crowded LB room of talented players. He'll be a good pickup for someone.

 

They're third and sixth round picks playing in their first NFL preseason games, but you expect them to go out there and look like Ben as a rookie .
