Today.....Colin Cowherd picked Steelers to finish 3rd in the AFC North and miss playoffs. He picked Ravens to win the North and Bengals to be a wildcard.

At least Cowher had won a Super Bowl 13 months before he stepped down in '07. At least Noll won a playoff game 2 years before he stepped down in '92. 9 seasons and counting.

Let's leave off that Cowher went 8-8 the year he stepped down, and that Noll went 7-9 the year he did. Im sure you will come up with some excuses why that is, that no other team in the NFL doesn't go through.

Thats like I heard him making fun of the Browns, and Watson on the radio, so I sent him a clip of him talking about when they got Watson they were SB contenders out of his own mouth. LoL .

Cowherd was right about Steelers offense since Todd Haley left and Ben was past his prime. And he was right about Tomlin being "in over his head" regarding offense. Hell... Cowherd isn't the only talking head in the media who has been saying this. It should be common knowledge by now. Fact, truth, etc.

Thank God Tomlin stepped down, I’ll always have a bit of gratitude towards him for saving Rooney from himself. Definition of insanity.

Risk adverse offensive scheme that gets you 9 or 10 wins and slaughtered in the playoffs and a coach with no ability to develop a QB. Would have been stuck in mediocrity forever. Regardless of how things go with McCarthy at least they have broken free from that Groundhog Day existence.

I could see this logic based on 3 things

1) Steelers have an old quarterback Moe backed up by Larry Curly and Shemp

2) Lamar staying healthy for a whole season

3) Joe staying healthy for a whole season
