OT Broderick Jones. He has struggled during camp and has been hurt. He wasn’t good enough when healthy either. ’Nuff said.

RB Kaleb Johnson. He just doesn’t do anything well as a back. A tad slow, not decisive enough, and a zero on special teams. Cut him and stick him with the third-round bust label. The only thing going for him is that the Steelers don’t have a strong candidate for the third RB spot.

QB Will Howard. The Steelers haven’t kept four QBs since 1995. Allar’s fine play should help give Howard the exit. He should be back as a practice-squad player if he isn’t claimed.

ILB Malik Harrison. He might be the easiest veteran currently on the roster to cut. Doing so also saves cap space.

I think they will keep Jones--he's been practicing as a "swing" tackle/backup role I think. There was just a Trib article today about how he's popular in the locker room, inspiring people with his comeback, etc. Even if he's not great and not living up to his billing. The rest I agree with. Roberts is an improvement over Harrison---although I'm not sure how Holcomb has been playing/practicing (I guess better than Harrison?).

Is Malik Harrison still here?? Every report I see mentioning him is saying he’s an easy cut. I didn’t see if he actually played against the Jets

Roman Wilson: He just doesn't get it.

Kaleb Johnson: He still hasn't had a legit chance to run the ball, last year went straight to the dog-house and stayed there, this year nobody could be judged behind that O-line.

Will Howard: Keeping 4 QB's uses up one roster spot temporarily, Rudolph can be traded if the right injury occurs. Put someone on the PS who is hidden in a mix of depth and talent who is not likely to be snatched up and when Rudolph gets traded bring him up.

Broderick Jones: I've seen enough, and there is better young potential behind him.

The thing about Jones is, yeah he has sucked so far this preseason, but what backup tackles other than Cook have been better? At least Jones still offers potential and had played better in the past prior to his injury.

Jones improved significantly as the season went on last year

Many posters just don’t understand football

    He has a cheap contract

Tackles are coveted in the league

He has more upside than Cook

    He stays

He will probably get a decent FA contract somewhere next year

And he broke his neck. Im guessing he is going to get some leeway while he works his way back from that.

Jones has played poorly in camp and in the preseason games so far. He metal effort may be an issue too. There is no way we carry four tackles.

Roman Wilson is the No. 3 or No. 4 receiver on a team that keeps six. There is no way he gets cut. Anyone can be traded, but I think Highsmith is the more realistic trade candidate. With Herbig (and his $100 million contract) as the backup and Jack Sawyer also in the mix, we have a real opportunity to trade Highsmith without much drop-off — if any.Good pass rushers are at a premium in the NFL.

Thats flat out wrong about Jones. There is zero chance he gets cut.

What good is having Wilson on the team if Rodgers wont throw to him and you know he wont so that means Wilson wont play so being the 3 or 4 receiver is meaningless.

Roman was invited to AR's rodeo player only repeat. He and DK were the only wide receivers there. If AR was going to use him in 2026, he does not get this invite? Think about that... AR has not played in any pre -season games this year. We have new coaches. How do know he won't throw to him???

Jones has been beaten like a red headed step child this summer. The odds of him being off this team come season game #1 are very good.

I agree with Jones and Howard staying on team.

Cut Rodgers;) I'm not excited for another season with him under center. Prove me wrong Aaron.

There is not a coherent thought in this entire response and its barely readable. I myself make similar responses but Im 52 with chubby fingers, nerve damage near the tip of my right pointer finger due to it almost being cut off a year ago and a reluctance to up grade my phone to a larger model so I know this problem well. However I reward you no points and may God have mercy on your soul, if he should find you worthy.

Also of your initial 4 I believe Malik Harrison is the only legit player that will be moving on with his life's work this weekend.

I think the bottom end of the depth chart will see more final games today than the drafted guys with cheap contracts and time left. Johnson will most likely be relegated to 4th rb if he continues to struggle. Inside backers will be Queen Wilson, Cole and Roberts. Harrison is going to be cut. Backup safeties will be a mixed bag especially with Castro being hurt and some growing pains.

Liking Roman and trusting him to be where he is supposed to be on the field are two different things. Why do you think Roman was benched last year.

Jones had a good first preseason game so thats news to me. And reports contradict you about what kind of camp he has been having.

I don't see Jones going anywhere unless the Steelers bring in another RT. Right Now Jones is your Swing, able to play both LT and RT.

IF, Max would win the starting RT job over Cook, then Cook could be the swing. I really wouldn't want to see Max playing both sides of the line.

I like this O-line 53-man roster. (I don't see anyone on the roster breaking into this Group)

    Offensive linemen (9)
Troy Fautanu, Zach Frazier, Mason McCormick, Spencer Anderson, Dylan Cook, Max Iheanachor, Gennings Dunker, Brock Hoffman, Broderick Jones
