The best Playoff game against the Brownies was when Tommy Maddox led that exciting comeback in 2002. Was with 15-20 Steeler fans and it was gloomy in the house until that amazing 4th qtr. We were down 24-7 in the 3rd qtr. and 3-4 gave up and left house pissed off. I admit I gave up to and started playing a video game with my nephew.

Tommy brought the whole team together at halftime and told us what we were going to do,'' wide receiver Terance Mathis said. "He said if you don't think we're going to win this game, you need to go back into the locker room."

    Tommy's finest NFL moment.

A Tomlin-led team could never make that kind of comeback. And STD and the Popcorn fanboys can't say SBXLIII. Steelers were only down 4. Not 17 points down, 3 scores.... like they were vs Browns.

Ben was most important player on the team and he didn't show up, as he seemed to do in the playoffs in the second half of his career. Pouncey had the yips his last few years that's on him, but you want to blame the HC .

I guess it was also his fault that the Browns had almost 400 offensive yards in this game....I guess it was his fault, down 35-23,Tomlin decide to punt on a 4th down and short in midfield in the fourth quarter only to allow the Browns to score a easy quick TD after that

Blame Ben for his 4 interceptions is fine...Blaming Pouncey for his bad snap is also fine. But blaming Ben for the crapping coaching by Tomlin in this game when no one show up in the first quarter in a playoffs game once again is a joke

I guess this is the fault of Ben if the steelers did not score over 7 points on offense since the retirement of Roethlisberger,a nfl record for a head coach....I guess this is the fault of Ben if they keep Matt Canada for almost 2 other years even if he was way over the head...I guess this is his fault if they had a another collapse at the end of the 2024 season....You can blame all you want on Roethlisberger,it don't change that no one was ready for this game against Cleveland.

All 4 turnovers by Ben led to 28 points by the Browns because the defense couldn't force one punt or even limit the Browns to a FG. They rolled over and played dead. Even at that Ben put up 37 points which was more than enough to win the game but the defense wasn't content just to give up 28 points, they allowed the Browns to score 20 more to surrender 48 points.

It was the worst defensive performence by the steelers in 2020.Not a single sack for only the second time from 2017 to 2020.The other was the playoffs game vs Jaguars

And just like the loss to Jacksonville in the playoffs Ben doesn't start scoring until the team falls behind big .

Agreed. Not absolving Ben at all but there is no rule that says the defense cant then stop the offense after a turnover.

Yep. It was sad to see a supposedly defensive coach get schooled like that from the Browns of all teams. Popcorn should have been fired after the loss to Jax in playoffs.

Yep. It's hard to come back from big deficits like this. Especially when you're playing in the playoffs (which means you're playing against a good team).

And when it happens, I think it's more the other team collapsing. Anytime you lose a game when you had a 17 point lead, it's your own team's fault. Cowher was great at protecting leads like this. Tomlin was good at it too, but not as good as Cowher was. Part of this is probably also the relative importance of the passing/running games when they coached. Part of it is also that Cowher had Bettis for a long time. And he was excellent at draining the will to play out of teams late in games.

Ben almost brought us back from big deficits (that he helped create) against Jag and the Browns in the playoffs. But the first half hole we dug was too big.

Newsflash: If the franchise QB doesn't throw 4 interceptions the Steelers likely win .

At least Tomlin's GM never threw him under the bus like Donahoe did to Cowher after a playoff loss.

    Ben was washed
You're asking a lot look at the field position the Browns got on some of those interceptions.
