By the NFL, I mean the 32 owners and King Roger. The NFL has been preying on our addiction to football for decades but it has gotten out of control. Just like a street drug dealer, they know that no matter what the drug costs, people will buy it.

The NFL pretends to care about the fans or the players but that is just to protect their image. In the case of the fans, they probably laugh behind closed doors at how they have us all by the short & curlies. As far as player health, if they really cared about concussions and health in general, they would implement a zero tolerance for HGH and PED's. But ...... that would lessen the gladiator effect and cost them billions.

Some former players have made it known that they used HGH and PED's because everybody else was doing it, and if they didn't they would lose their job to someone who did.

The players get bigger, faster, and stronger every year due to an improved work ethic fueled by drugs. A line backer today has the strength of an O-lineman from 30 years ago combined with the agility of a wide receiver. Injuries are guaranteed!

Nope! I admit it, I'm addicted.

But that doesn't put the drug dealer in any better light.

When my father took me to my first game back in the 70’s, I don’t recall him saying the first hit is free. I didn’t say that to my son either. Maybe put the remote down some Sunday and do something else.

The NFL does care about the fans… and the TV contracts.

They’re in the sports entertainment business, plain and simple. Player drug use, especially HGH, is a real problem. Sports should never be about who has the best HGH or designer drugs .But there’s a bigger issue: Affordability.

With the ever-rising cost of utilities, food, insurance, and medical care, the common man is forced to cut back and that includes football. It things keep getting worse it will affect the NFL's profitability.

I don't think so. We as Americans are so addicted to football we will pay whatever they charge which is evidenced by the fact that we continue to pay despite the astronomical prices.

It's like the Cuban cigar market, Cuban cigar prices have gone up 200% to 2,000% in the last 7 years and they still can't make enough.
