As I noted in his pre draft write up, elusive and shifty. He needs more reps in a Pro Style Offense for Navy's is.... the furthest thing from it. That said, I do believe that Eli can outplay his draft slot.


Just needs to keep getting better while getting consistent.

I know it is just pre-season but twice tonight we went for it on 4th and 3 or more inside FG range. That was completely unheard of before.

Allar with three TD drives

 

I don’t even recognize the offense, and that’s a good thing. Be interesting to see how they look stacking these try outs up until the real deal.
Another thing, I’m actually getting a good look at all prospects. I think that’s the biggest difference for me. Refreshing

 

As a Penn State fan, I thought Allar wasn't quite suited to Franklin's offense and that the team didn't have much talent at receiver. He made mistakes in key moments playing hero ball. If anyone can develop him, it's McCarthy.

Great touch on that placement!! Allar is hitting those lay ups for certain. He just needs to keep doing that. Continue to work on those basics and fundamentals.

 

Beautiful touch pass by Allar on the TD. 3 drives for Allar, ran for a TD and threw for 2.

 

McCarthy wants to kick Gb’s 5th point of contact. Charlie may understand th as t but just choose not to say anything. Beyond that, why wouldn’t you want these young guys to try to put it in the end zone.

I think we'll keep showing Mason. Hoping to get a trade.

I would like to see both Howard and Allar play against starting defenders. But probably not possible.

 

Looks more like he's trying to pinch one out

 

ideally against NFL defenders.

 

Don't forget Tom Arth either. He was the pass game specialist for the LA Chargers. Justin Herbert benefited greatly from him. No reason to assume Drew Allar cannot do the same.


I just don't know if Arth is going to be around long term. I hope he is.

 

Do you think it’s him or Kaleb for a spot on the roster? They probably wont keep both.
