The usage of Kaleb Johnson last year was downright criminal but as big of a fan as I am of Iowa, I'm just not sure KJ is talented enough to dig out of the hole he's in.

Yes it helps to have capable coaches on offense.

 

Nice to see the young QB’s each get in the end zone

 

Only bad thing tonight was penalties.

 

Play calls at the line have been nice. McCarthy will definitely improve in that area.

 

Dunker probably stays on block, but didn't get the memo of a run. Looked like he was trying to avoid being downfield.

 

I’ve seen enough, Steelers going undefeated and will win 5 championships with Drew

 

It was also hard to beat out the guys that were playing last year, they did pretty well

 

I am not sure he is a top 5 RB in the current steelers team

 

Mike McCarthy looks like he was born to coach the Steelers. He looks as comfortable as I’ve ever seen him.

 

Dunker looked solid on that drive. Doubly so on the scoring play. Bulldozed his guy.

 

Yeah, he keeps his feet he delivers a TD throw there. I get it hit the FB’s fingertips… but it was just a bit outside on the throw. Love the read option playcall though afterwards

 

It greatly helps that AR II isn't going to be breathing down his neck like Jerry did.

 

No, but he damn sure had no business returning kicks. He could have gotten a few more runs in succession instead of 2 or 3 each game. Maybe he just wasn't talented enough to get on the field.

 

I get there is a sentimental attachment with him being from your home state. But, Kaleb’s speed of attack into a running hole is as fast as Bartelo Colon running to first base.

If that's truly the case, then why is everyone so quick to give up on him? Does he truly suck? Or has he just not gotten enough opportunities. I don't know the answer to that question.

 

I doubt he makes the team with a new coaching staff.
