I see Western PA towns are well represented in the NFL:
QB Pavia is cut by Ravens.
OL Bedford tried out for the Saints but is still unsigned.
CB Everett signed his rookie contract with the Steelers on May 9 2026.
RB Blue(Knob) had a good OTA and is now RB2 in Dallas.
K Boswell of the Steelers may be the best kicker in the NFL.
WR AlToon (a) retired in 1992.

Kenny Pickett sent Reed deep down the middle of the field, where he outraced Isaiah Simmons and Robert Rochell, with Zakee Wheatley in close pursuit as well, to pull in an over-the-shoulder ball, dragging his feet as he fell to stay in bounds for the touchdown.


and guess what the response is to this report? Nada, because its camp.

 

Good for Kenny!

I tend to think that offensive success is kind of expected in these kind of drills. But doing it is better than no doing it. I'd be excited if we heard consistent reports like this from our two lottery tickets at QB.

And hitting deep passes down the middle for TDs isn't something he did much of here. Would be good for him to have more than one trick (he's very good at throwing back shoulder down the side line IMO).

 

If he plays very long, I got 50 bucks saying he spins into a sack

 

ehh, I think this goes for the offense and defense depending on the day. First 2 days they said the D got the best of the offense.

Its camp though, its always funny how the bad is elevated and the positive is shoulder shrugs.

 

regardless, I bet the hate watching in Western PA is going to help the ratings.

 

It's pretty player dependent too.

The other day, we heard about how Howard (I think it was Howard, but maybe Allar) was throwing nice balls and threaded a nice TD. But not that he also threw a pick to Castro.

Kenny's long gone and I don't think he'll be a long term starter. I guess I'd like for him to prove me right be being a good backup. But I don't really care that much.

I think the other tweet / post about Kenny getting sacked twice and fumbling or tripping or whatever on a 3rd attempt was pretty funny. Seems to really encapsulate his time here. Especially because IIRC, we needed to stop having non-contact sacks end plays in camp because otherwise the O wouldn't get passes off. This was on the OL too. But it's one of the things that seems to have marked KP's career so far. His pocket awareness wasn't good when he was here. Maybe it improves when he left, but I didn't really watch him then.

Seems like a good kid though. Happy for him that he got a ring. And that he even took snaps in the game. That's got to be a pretty amazing experience.
