Is it really drama though? We all know his stance on vaccines and who cares if he bashes ESPN.

As for the replies this post is likely to generate, let’s not turn this into a politics/vaccine thread. As long as Rodgers throws TD’s and helps the Steelers win, he can believe the earth is flat for all I care.

Caused the Steelers to have to issue a press release. If it was a non-issue no statement needed.

The Steelers handed it the right way by saying that many different players have different opinions on many subjects and left it that. They didn't take one side or the other.

A friend of mine was playing in the US Senior Open in Columbus last month and I went to watch him play. As I pulled up to the club they told me I had to drive back to OSU and get on a bus. As I am driving through a very affluent neighborhood of winding roads and 15 MPH speed limit, I come on this happening right in front of me. I got out, made sure everyone was okay and then sent this pic to my friends explaining why I was going to be late, two friends asked if Tiger was driving and one asked if I got Tigers' autograph.

Which they didnt have to. It was pointless statement which stated the obvious that people are allowed to have different opinions.

They didnt say we strongly disagree with Aaron, his opinion doesnt represent our values, blah blah blah.

I think it's drama. There's just no need for him to throw out politically-motivated comments like he did and has done.

Just like you'd prefer to keep this board from becoming politically-motivated, what comes out of Rodgers when he's talking football should be the same.

Those two things really aren’t the same. There is a non politics rule for the board set forth by the administrator that us mods enforce and Arod is just shooting the breeze on Pats show which discusses everything under the sun.

I agree that now it is becoming a distraction because our HC was asked about it like feltdeez pointed out but I would say why is he being asked about it? It’s so ridiculous that Rodgers comments are seen as news worthy. We’ve become a society that becomes outraged at every little thing and reporters have to go running for comment for things that never would have raised an eyebrow in the past.

Public health is not political. And answering questions and having a response to it isn’t political either.

Society has skewed anything involving a response to something, political. It’s quite tiring.

Also, he got destroyed for having his own voice over his health. The same hypocritical ****s who spew “my body my choice” turned him into a pariah and all the sheep followed suit.

So, let him cook. It’s his last year. Some of you whining about this have already accepted that the Steelers will be a mid team again anyways. You’re just adding fuel to what you are already building for your “I told you so” moment when the Steelers lose at the end of the year.

    There's a difference.
One as you said played, and the other is just talking about others playing.
I bet if Woods was just an announcer, and hasn't played for 10 years they would fire him also.

I like Romo too. Good Golfer. I can see CBS being worried of their image. Tiger was the golden goose for the PGA Tour. Nothing short of murder would have gotten rid of him. I'm sure the Champions Tour is hoping he plays it but I doubt his body will come back for Championship Golf.

I ain't gonna get into politics... but some politicians can say things and do things and get away with it... while these sayings and doings would end other politicians' careers. There's a huge double standard these days and to ignore this.... is whistling past the graveyard.

    OK, back to the Steelers.

I didn’t want this to turn into what we all know it would have turned into if I really laid the wood down.

Just look at it as, I’m here to support Aaron Rodgers because I like his take no **** attitude to stupidity.

yeah.. this doesn’t make any sense.

He was talking about something that happened at a hearing in DC.

It’s beyond foolish to think this wasn’t political.

Its also foolish to talk about this stuff in 2026.
