    Hopefully all this 'attention to detail' will avoid gaffes like this;

    Al Saunders with the explanation on 'tougher camp'. Again, hope this leads to better starts out of the gate, though not sure what it will mean for end of the season.

    "So far that has included upping the intensity, not by increasing physicality, but increasing the cadence, calling plays at a rapid-fire pace that tests players abilities to keep up with what’s going on.

    That cadence does something else physically, that while not necessarily related to a traditional definition of toughness, is also a big benefit to the team: they need to be in better shape. The sheer number of plays the Steelers have been running and the quickness with which they’ve gotten to the line of scrimmage has been like running an entire practice at the cadence of a two-minute drill, and that has been noticeably taxing on their bigger-bodied players."

    He wasn't getting reps everyday at MLB, my point is they used Herbig as a pass rusher from the ILB position last year.

    QB mistakes are inevitable while they’re absorbing a new playbook, adjusting footwork, and learning NFL speed and timing--those can be coached and cleaned up. The spontaneous big-play ability, the arm talent to drive the ball downfield accurately under pressure or off-platform, is much harder to teach. Drew Allar’s two throws on Saturday fit that bill perfectly:

    The designed rollout right, launching it 30 yards down the sideline to Kaden Wetjen.

    The perfect back-shoulder ball 40 yards on fourth down in the two-minute drill to A.T. Perry, setting the offense up inside the five.

    Now this shows talent. First round type of talent. How may 15+ yard passes does Allar have?

    Documented 15+ yard throws that reporters specifically mentioned:

    Day 1: Seam shot to Max Hurleman (described as one of the best throws of the day) + the 15-yard TD to Robert Tonyan to end practice.

    Day 2: Multiple “wow” throws that led some observers to say Allar had the best day of any QB not named Aaron Rodgers.

    Day 3: At least one notable cross-field or intermediate completion that drew positive comments

    Day 4 (Saturday): The 30-yard rollout strike to Kaden Wetjen and the perfect 40-yard back-shoulder to A.T. Perry on 4th down in the two-minute drill.

    Allar has exceed my exceptions for his first four NFL practices.

    I can't wait until pad come on. The back up QB spot is open. Allar sure can win it. The odds are he won't. But the thinking in May was he is going be the third QB at best, sit, and learn. That thinking is at changing with his play. Once Allar throws more to the starters ( who can make even bigger plays) >>> DK , Roman Wilson, and 'Muth ...just wait for it )

    Man, Tomlin and Austin were really brilliant defensive minds, just so innovative and on point down to every detail but I’m really excited about this defensive staff, I think coach Graham can be even better if you can believe that but I think that side of the ball will get off to a quicker start than the offense.

    Did I do that right without downing the last coaching staff???

    I just have to wonder whether this is MM doing a pump and dump with Howard. Pump up the reports, then when cuts come look for a trade with a QB needy team.

    TBH, I need to see it before believing it. We've heard so many camp stories over the seasons that just don't seem to pan out. Pony backfield, moving Watt, more TE receiving, etc. Big question; are the players smart enough to handle so many moving parts? Queen in particular seems to struggle with a leadership role. Wonder if MM will pass those duties to someone else, finally?
