From X in training camp today 7/31/26. Allar misses an open receiver and his next pass is tipped for an interception. Not a good outing for him.

 

Ok . So you didn't see him move last year??
You didn't see when he moved they just doubled teamed him there??
You people realize that when Watt moves the Offense doesn't all of a sudden don't know who he is.
Geez I showed stills of him moving to different positions last year, and showed stills of when he did they doubled him where ever he went.
Now using a logical thought process, would you rather get doubled teamed where you are best at, or where you aren't so good at?

He was doubled wherever he went. I showed freaking stills of this. This is why I asked if He actually watched the games.
I don't know about Watt, but if Im going to get doubled, I rather it happen where I can combat , and not where I get washed out.

 

Let's hope he's better than Tomlin, but I don't have to down Tomlin for him to be.

 

So we can expect the same Watt this season?

 

I would say about what he was two years ago. Last year was a down year. All players have them. All of them.

They are on some post from last year. Matter of fact I had to ask multiple people on here how to put pictures up before I did it.

 

This is why movement for movement sake is worthless. Ideally if TJ is moving and draws a dbl team at that spot is should create a better mismatch elsewhere where you can get pressure. That was what made the crossfire blitz work under Lebeau it forced the center and guard to make a choice who to block with the NT. You take Shazier and leave Timmons, then he shoots the gap and sacks the QB. Flipping Watt from one side to another without purpose is just a waste. You're absolutely right moving him from one dbl team to another does nothing. Put him next to Highsmith with Herbig on the other side and force them to choose who gets dbl teamed.

When this guy says laser, I guess he means accurate????

 

It can't just be moving. There needs to be disguise to the shoulder or the gap that the player is attacking. Even more importantly, timing these moves to have Watt or another player make a quick move into position with less than 2 seconds on the play clock so the offense doesn't have time to change a call to adjust.

That's the kind of stuff that leads to blown up plays by the defense, ruins blocking schemes, forces penalties, etc...

 

No, I’m saying last year he didn’t line up elsewhere much. That was a coaching issue in 2025. They break the huddle often between plays. Let the defense ID where TJ is and play your matchups! That’s what I’m saying.
