No Eli on punts as of now.

    Under center, I like it.

Not to beat a dead horse but Tomlins camps reflect his coaching philosophy, physical just line up and beat the man across from you. He probably would have been a great coach in the 70’s and 80’s.

Again, it remains to be seen if different will equal better but the changes we are reading about is what so many of us were screaming for, this team desperately needed a new voice and direction.

The guys are all bigger and more explosive. So the impacts are more violent. You especially see this for RBs, who just get chewed up by the game faster than they used to in Smith's day (or Bettis').

Not sure I like the non-contact camp. But I think Tomlin was one of the last HCs to force players to hit in camp.

They're too valuable to lose in events that don't really mater I guess.

But I think having real goal line work like 7-shots prepared us better for the season than other teams.

We'll see how it work out in real life I guess.

    For example:

    AI says
    • Smith was 5'9" and weighed between 212 and 221. 40-tim was 4.52.
    • D Henry: 6'2" 247 with essentially the same 40 time.
That extra 25-30 lbs means that Henry's bringing in an extra ~15% of momentum into the contact. The defender is probably also bringing in a similar amount of extra momentum.

And while they ran the same time in underwear, new players are wearing lighter pads and benefit from better training methods. So they're probably faster on the field too.

And not being on the PUP means he can't have his contract toll (which was something discussed earlier in at least one post).

Maybe if You posted the whole thing on here we could all see what you are trying to be so smug about. Remember not everyone has Twitter, X, or a number of those things.

I wish anyone but Dough Whaley was saying this but, hopefully he is right.

Not to beat a dead horse, and pray that McCarthy is the greatest HC we have ever had, but the same McCarthy had Brett Favre, A. Rodgers, and Dak Prescott(none that he drafted), and He has one less SB than Tomlin, and almost the exact same record.
I want to be excited, and I am also, but I don't throw common sense out the window to do it.
Mike McCarthy 174- 112 One SB
    Mike Tomlin 193 - 114
You can be excited, and realistic at the same time without downing a previous Steelers HC.
