I was watching the celebrations in Spain last night. Multiply it by 10 and you'd have me if the Pirates win a World Series before I kick.

 

Stats this morning have the Bucs leading MLB in runs! Next closest are Dodgers 17 runs lower. Valdez continues to impress and the 2nd Gonzo they picked up last week is a nice addition. Pinch me. Now they may get to face Bednar this series unless there are no save opportunities? Which would be nice. (as spoken by Bill Murray in CS). Also will face Gerritt Cole Wednesday against (gulp) "better score at least 6 runs" Keller.

I know you didn't follow the World Cup closely but did you enjoy final or did you and your friends talk right through it??

I watched most of the games and loved it but I won't watch Soccer again until 2030 as long as my body and mind comply.

 

Good Part - Player of the game was Argentina's Goalie. Without his superb D, probably would have been a 7-0 laugher.
Bad Part - Nothing about this 120 minute or so scoreless tie with no shots on goal by the Argies did anything to make me want to watch soccer again. I came into it bored and left even more so. I'm surprised they don't hand out awards at the end for Best Actor with all the "painful" flopping. Chess and Curling have it all over soccer. Give me some Aussie Rules Football, Rugby or Lacrosse. But for those of you that like the sport - bravo.
