Just a glimpse as I shake my head and quickly exit the ocean. Then you go back to the sand and another couple seems to be getting a thrill on. I go to a beach in Florida where people are usually drinking by 10am. By sunset they can’t control themselves. Last vacation was in the mountains. Animals know how to act better.

You can’t drink all day if you don’t start with breakfast

I recently moved to Arizona and I haven't seen any yet. When I was in PA, black bears were always around. Garbage days were always an adventure if you had to put the garbage out the night before. You would have to spray chemicals on the can or use anti-bear trash cans or your garbage would be all over the place in the morning.

I even had an encounter in my garage with a black bear. My wife went for a walk with the dog and left the garage door open. I heard a noise and opened the door to the garage. A bear was in there and had just gotten the lid off of my garbage can and a bag of trash was just outside the can.

I startled the bear and the bear ran out of the garage and was sitting in my yard. I ran back in to get my phone to call my wife to warn her and get my keys. The bear came back into the garage. I chased him back out. This repeated a few times. Eventually, the bear grabbed the bag with one bite and took off into the woods.

I went back inside the house and grabbed my keys and my phone. Then I started my truck, pulled out, and closed the garage door. I just didn't want her to walk into a possible bear situation when she came home. I picked her and my dog up and brought them back home.

They are mostly harmless, but occasionally they are not. If you threaten them, their young, or are in their way of something they desire, they can turn aggressive and violent. There seem to be more black bear attacks lately, so be careful out there!

I only wish that I had cameras to have recorded proof of my comical encounter with that bear. Luckily, it was a funny encounter. If my wife walked back into that garage and he was working on the garbage with her and my little dog standing in the way of his only way out......who knows how that would have gone.

I have a fishing pond and one lived below it years ago. I assume they use it as a water source. We left each other alone. One day one of my dogs was out hunting and came beating ass up the hill with her eyes the size of silver dollars. I said “so you met the bear”. She would only go out the other side of the house for a long while. I guess there weren’t any bears on that side of the house

my brother had a similar encounter one morning. about 6:00 am going to work he went out as usual to get in his truck and a black bear stood up behind his truck and growled. he said he was about 6 feet tall. my brother jumped into the truck cab. the bear ran up around his house. he tried to call the house to my sister in law at the time because they had double sliding doors out the back onto the patio. she was in the shower and didn't answer. it came back down around the house and my brothers dog was in the garage trying to get at it. he had the bottom of the door cracked. the bear took a swipe at the door and left claw marks across it.

they had traced that bear from around marietta ohio and up through the wayne national forest. many spotting him on his journey. there was a picture of him running past a guy on a dozier not far from my brothers house. they finally caught him up in Pa. i believe they shot him was the word.
