    427 or 454

    Trivia question

Without Googling how many old fart gear heads actually know what GTO stands for

And no it’s not gas tires and oil

Seriously?? I'll give a hint. It's Italian. I never understood the last words meaning for it until a few years ago.

Not that it ever was at the front of my mind but all this time I thought it stood for gas, tires and oil. I was told that by more then one person too over the years.

I just looked it up. I bet people that owned them didn't know that. I would understand it better if it was an Italian made car.

Not a car person but always like the look of the older models.

That never bothered me because it wasn’t “white board material”

it was simply Tomlin saying what he thought most people wanted to see. It wasn’t like the Pats had already won when he said it.

We always struggled with the Jags and Pats and I don’t think his words mattered. I think we had like 7 turnovers vs the Jags in those 2 games and 3 of them were returned for TD’s. Just a bad matchup. That Jags team was much better than fans wanted to admit.

I wonder how many people who complain about it know when that interview happened.

I agree that the Jags just owned us that year. It was a bad matchup for us. Both times.

My older brother had a '66 GTO and when I asked him what GTO stood for he said " Go To Orbit" and I grew up thinking that's what it meant.

The name, GTO was inspired by the Ferrari 250 GTO. The moniker is an Italianabbreviation for Gran Turismo Omologato ("grand tourer homologated"), designating being certified by the FIA for racing in the grand tourer class as a production car with at least a hundred units made.[1]

Unusually for such a Detroit marketing ploy, a Pontiac employee had
the car homologated by the FIA in 1964, so that it was indeed possible for the GTO to compete in European sports car racing.

I had a 66 with an extensively modified engine exhaust driveline etc.

Fastest thing around at the time. I got cited for tripling the speed limit one night.

It was not this pretty mine was 3 shades of primer

For the Camaro, engine isn’t a deal killer, but I do prefer a big block.

I am in the market for a ‘68 and I am all in between 20 and 30k, depending on how it is equipped.

    Any leads appreciated.

Giving up 48 points to the Browns and 42 points to Kansas City in 2021 and 2022 were on Tomlin's defense. As said he has underachieved the past 8 seasons in the playoffs and seasons he did not make it. What is critical? Check the point spread line the day before the games and the results. Do this and you will see what I am talking about. We under achieved in the playoffs. Here I'll give it to you.

2020 Wild Card (Jan 2021) vs. Cleveland Browns: Steelers lost 37-48 at home. The defense allowed 48 points (Browns scored 28 in the first quarter alone). Point spread the day before: Steelers were favored by 5.5 points (they were the higher seed with a strong regular-season finish. Result vs. spread: They lost by 11 points instead of winning by 5–6. That's a massive 16–17 point swing against expectations. This is :poopy:

2021 Wild Card (Jan 2022) @ Kansas City Chiefs: Steelers lost 21-42 on the road. The defense allowed 42 points.. Point spread the day before: Chiefs were favored by 12.5 points (Steelers were the biggest underdogs in Wild Card history at one point). Result vs. spread: Lost by 21 points and did not cover; underperformed the line by about 8.5 points.
