I'm confident the Steelers defense will be better than last year in almost every category, like PPG, yards per game, pass defense, third down, and fourth down defense

Only turnovers will I think the defense will be weaker than last year, but for the rest they'll be better. We will see for the run defense, maybe about the same but more consistency is key

Porter Island, maybe? I dig it.

“I cant move my feet and move back as fast as Samuel, so it wouldnt be right for him and me to play the position the same. We’re two different body types.”

@Brice@Brice if you are still concerned JPJ is standing on the sidelines and not learning the defense this is a good read

Actual coaching to a player's strength is happening? Nah, can't be. ;)

Joey Porter is a guy we need to get a deal done with.
I sometimes think back to "Champ Bailey" when he was drafted. You could just see potential in every play and improvement each year.
I think, Porter's flag issues are caused by the way they played him in Austin's defense.
What he says in that blurb makes a lot of sense.

I complained a lot in years 1-2 about Porter being too handsy and the cost of those penalties. So I will quickly admit he significantly improved in that area during last season.

I have to agree, that is very true.
In watching different clips, he's much better in press coverage. Maybe that helps some by keeping him close.
I think he also does well being singled on the best WR but to your point, on those deep routes he does get handsy. That will be a hard habit to break.
I am anxious to see how they address the coverage.

I saw where Elliott is listed as questionable to start the season but I’m not sure when this was updated

Was he at OTA and practicing

And Joel spoke confidently that Spears will be the nickle back so who am I to disagree
