We're in a really good situation at pass rusher. Herbig locked up, Highsmith under contract for a few more years, and hopefully at least a bit of a bounceback season for Watt. Not to mention Sawyer showed well as a rookie in rotational snaps. We certainly don't have to trade anyone this year. I think the BEST case scenario for the Steelers would be to go through this season with no changes, give Highsmith an extension in the offseason and offload Watt. I think there's a world where we keep Watt around too long, lose Highsmith, and then are hoping that Sawyer is a starting caliber player (or drafting relatively early again). Herbig/Highsmith doesn't have the elite player feel, but both are highly capable players.

Highsmith should bring a 2nd and a 5th. That receiver is junk. Take the picks and run.

With Art II giving the "One Helmet Guy" Watt that contract he will not be going anywhere.

Where there is smoke, there is fire. I personally would want draft picks if traded. More ammo for next years QB selection.

this year would cost us 11.204 million in dead money and save 8.898 million to drop highsmith. where next year it would cost us 5.602 million in dead money and save us 15.5 million. this isn't the year to do it. next year would be the most beneficial for them.

I hope they dont trade him for Kayshon Boutte, and I dont think they will. I just cant see trading an excellent established edge rusher for a WR 3 who has basically done nothing.
