These signings are just to give guys a chance to compete for roster spots at camp.

But it looks like he's at least got measurables.

Probably doesn't make the roster, but you never know. I assume that an athletic ILB (knows how to tackle) would be useful on ST if nothing else.

ETA: Interestingly, not a ton of ST.

Last year 0 ST snaps. 16 DEF.

    2024 53 ST, 107 defensive snaps
    2023 34 ST, 0 ST.

    khan is on fire?

Davis was the biggest underachiever. I was in Washington when they drafted him.
They played him, he was a first round pick, and he got played by every offense.
Bush was a far better LB than Davis.

I think the signing is either:
    - Practice ST's fodder - which Davis did not excel at.
    - or LB number game, "We need 10 LB's in camp" type of thing
    - or Omar is even worse as at evaluator and should leave the FA to Weidl.

That said, he does have an inside with DC - Patrick Graham. So he does bring some familiarity with what Graham wants to do.

Well.. at this point, Jamin Davis is depth. Should anything happen to either Wilson or Queen, Davis will get his shot. He has started in this league before.

Not expecting much of anything though stranger things have happened. Guess we will have to wait and see.

This likely doesn’t move the needle in a positive direction.

No a clue why they are completely ignoring Elandon Roberts.

    He can’t cover

    He’s slow and old

It is just weird: They both played for Vegas last year under new DC Patrick Graham.

2025 Jamin Davis LV 2 games played 3 total tackles.
2025 Elandon Roberts LV 17 games played 90 total tackles.

DC Patrick Graham kept Davis on the bench the entire year, while Elandon Roberts was the Starter. I wonder if Elandon Roberts is holding out in Free Agency for more money or a starting position? I guess a veteran like Roberts, who has already played in Patrick Graham's defense, you could wait and sign until Training Camp.

Yea, someone was complaining about Queen not being able to cover. Roberts was worse.

i agree but i think it's harrison gone for a cap savings. 4.750 million savings, dead money of 2.040 million and could designate that as a june one cut to cut it in half.

i also think we get a better holcomb back this year than last. gives him 2 years removed from that bad injury. some guys take a little longer with knee injuries to fully come back.

point two is davis will be well down the depth chart if holcomb is the clear 3rd especially if they cut harrison.

point 3 is graham will be using herbig and maybe some of the other OLB'ers from the inside.
