no benches for them to go sit and take a break. that was one big change from mccarthy to tomlin. players are said to be buying into a more rigid practice approach. we will probably see a much different camp as well. i like it. 19 years of one way is probably like a culture shock to the vets that have been here the longest, but it sounds as they are buying into it instead of fighting it. players being held accountable. hoping for the best and hoping the change that was needed works out for the better. nice to see.

Agreed. in HS during practice that is how we got a drink. A hose off the side of the fieldhouse. We liked it. As a kid that was the go to. Any neighbor that had a hose on the side of their house was fair game.

 

As long as you let it run for a bit , and get out all the stuff that climbed in , and died between the last time you used it, it's fine.

50 plus years ago there was a bar I frequented that had a juke box per se. There were no records in it, nor a music list. You picked up a phone handset, put your money in and spoke to an old lady. After telling her what songs you wanted, if she had them, and she had a lot like a radio station, your song would eventually play in order. And not just in this bar but also in two others that were all on the same “system”.

 

Really does get scolding hot. Learned that the hard way and to this day my Niece reminds me I burnt her when she was a little girl.

 

One time, we were working on railroad tracks, my lips were swelled up I was so thirsty. Found a water spigot on the tracks, let it run until all the brown stuff came out. Got a drink, had the chitty chitty bang bangs for a week. Went to a Motley Crue concert that weekend, still had the chitty chitty bang bangs. First concert I spent in the restroom.
True story.
Other than that, never had a problem drinking out of a foreign water hose after letting it run for awhile.
This makes me wanna poop thinking about it.

 

we used to go to a park that is still there and play basketball. always were pickup games there in the summer. when we got thirsty we would walk up the hill about 1/4 mile and into the brush under some trees and there was a culvert pipe about 12 inches with moss on the bottom. it was a spring which is running to this day and drink that water. nobody ever got sick. early to mid 70's. everyone said it was a spring and we really didn't know but it worked.

Back in the day it was probably safe. I wouldn't try it today. We drank out of the creeks when I was young, but I'd bet it isn't safe anymore

 

Never had the chance to see Motley Crue but wish I had. I'll assume you saw the Netflix movie about them called, "The Dirt". I found it interesting. Tommy Lee shows up at the end riding off on his motorcycle. Tommy Lee said the movie was about 75% accurate.

Those guys sure liked their drugs.

 

I'm much more interested in the results than players saying they like what a new boss is doing right after the new boss is hired.

Hopefully we see better results on the field.

 

For most of these players, they had better show results. Namely the likes of Payton Wilson, Roman Wilson, Keeanu Benton and Patrick Queen. Do or die for all of them. I know Kaleb Johnson can be factored in here as well but again, until otherwise, I have him not making it to the final 53.


Double M has already stressed that if a player cannot contribute in their primary role, they better do so in other ways. Travis Homer is a Special Teams Ace and the team isnt getting rid of Eli Heidenreich either. Not enough spots unless Homer gets hurt and Johnson shocks everyone.

 

first off peyton wilson isn't going anywhere. johnson i don't think makes the 53. you can only keep so many RB's including a FB. benton played much better last year but there is a lot of competition on the D-Line right now.

 

I am referring to the Contract that looms for Payton Wilson in 2027; not that his Roster Spot is in danger for 2026. I stated that Jamin is good for depth and has experience. Nothing more to it than that.
