None. No changes at all. The only changes that are made are changes done throughout the Offseason leading up to two to three weeks before each draft.

Once I have my final results up, they stay that way. If I am wrong, so be it. The burden of proof is on me to do better.

Reminds me of a family member with an addiction problem. She will always seek to place blame on anyone or anything else, including wild claims of being assaulted everywhere she's been (I didn't fall because I drank too much, someone broke in to my apt and pushed me down...and then apparently left).

Because we haven't sniffed a super bowl in such a long time, even with some solid-to-good teams, any dig or search for a reason, that ties in Tomlin in SOME way, is immediately deflected and the blame is placed elsewhere. So maybe he thinks Butler was the reason for playoff failures and non-playoff seasons? Regardless, guess who had him as his DC? Guess who hired Austin, who's only DC run prior was abysmal? So even if you try to place blame elsewhere it comes back to Tomlin as the HC. Some just don't want to hear anything but lavish praise and loving comments about our mediocre Former HC.

This addict doesn't accept or take any blame for the addiction behavior, it is ALWAYS someone else that did something. Some don't want ANY blame put at Tomlin's feet, even if indirect. It's become a sickness for some.

    He doesn't know.
I promise You. That's why he has to listen to what others say. .I will bet 500 dollars right now , I could show still shots of a D before the snap, and after the snap, and ask him what they were in, and what did they actually go to, and He wouldn't be able to tell you that simple thing. Those people must depend on what others tell them, and that's totally fine, but then don't act like You know.

Here is the f**king stupid part in all of this.
    1. If I look at the HC, and He isn't saying anything, and yet words are coming out of the DCs mouth, with him looking at a sheet, I'm supposed to believe the guy that's mouth hasn't moved is calling the plays because someone said so??
LoL. So if I rob a bank, and You see me do it, but if someone says I didn't, You must believe them, and not what You see.
    2. This has nothing to do with Tomlin, Bill Cowher, McCarthy, or any freaking HC, DC, or anybody, but if You clearly believe that all the teams in the NFL know what you are doing on D , and have know for a long time, and that team still keeps winning 10 games a year, YOU Clearly know nothing about football.
I don't care who the f**king HC is. We would be getting stomped every single game if this was true.
We are not talking about saying we are fixing to run the ball on You stop it.
You are saying they know exactly what our D is doing, and I'm supposed to believe that at least 10 teams a year are so stupid they can't take advantage of that. LoL.
Holy $hit. The only people that can believe this are , I can't even say anymore without being too mean. Use your actual brain, and think about that.

I'm still waiting for somebody to explain the Steelers basically made Butler the DC in waiting, but they're going to then screw him over and let him not call the defense :facepalm:.

I seen him live call the D, and on tv. Nobody is saying the HC doesn't interject here , or there, all HCs do this, but He wasnt calling the game. There is a big difference between the two.

That's fair. I couldn't do that either. I know just enough to get me in a mess of trouble running my yap on message boards. But I actually don't know a whole lot. Like I couldn't draw up a pew wee defense let alone an NFL one. I gotta go find info from places that claim they know.

But I still try and think through it all and don't just buy the easy Twitter narrative.

If football was as easy as Twitter and YouTube say it is; there'd be no need to pay coaches millions of dollars. Anyone could do it.

That's not a you thing. It's not a me thing. It's just a football thing. Different coaches will call the same things by different names. I've seen the same drills called different names. Or the same name means a different drill to some coaches. People call things what they grew up learning to call them.

Bottom line, don't sweat the terminology. A missed tackle or missed assignment still yields the same results, whatever they call the alignment.

So many systems are hybrid of other systems that nobody truly knows but the play caller anyway.

After a slow start, Roethlisberger was damn near unstoppable in that game. Dobbs was worthless. There is no guarantee that the Steelers would have won that game if Roethlisberger had returned sooner, but it's very likely.

The simplest most rudimentary defense yes but teams are doing more and more to disguise coverages. Thats why they wanted Rodgers back because you arent going to fool him.

The calling the same thing a different name, or terminology is a real thing. Hell even from one HS , or college to another.
