This should have been in the green font. Sometimes, not all functions work on my iphone.

Howard or Rudolph? To me this should not even be a thought for this team moving forward.

I have no ill feelings toward Mason Rudolph. Rudolph has shown he can be a serviceable backup. But, that is all he can be. It also seems to be all he aspires to be. We do not need that on this team at this time. Will Howard is focused on trying to become the next franchise QB for the Steelers. Players with that mindset should be the focus for the team right now. I have no problem with letting Howard learn for another season behind a proven leader like Rodgers. The team builds nothing significant by keeping a 30yr old career backup in the mix of starter conversations. If we did not have Will Howard and Drew Allar in the QB room, I'd be all for letting Rudolph continue his career here as Arod's backup. But we do have 2 guys that want to be more than career backups.

the two young guys still have time to be more than backups. rodgers and mason will be gone next year. rodgers for sure. masons contract runs out at the end of this season. we or they will know enough about the two youngsters by that time. neither one may be the guy. everybody wants to base the future on a 3rd and 6th round pick but they may draft another next year in the first or second and make it all mute.

Haven't we seen enough check down football under AR last year? Surely the new coaching staff will install downfield offensive football that ALL Qb's could run.

all depends on how much time the O-line gives whomever is the QB. we shouldn't want any of our QB's to be getting hit often so if they have to check down then they will. i don't think mccarthy's offense will be built on that though.
