Carolina scoring on both sides of the ball

 

yep also seen them score 24 points in ONE game... it takes the steelers 2 games to score that many points.. i said before the season began look for the steelers to play a lot of 16-13 games... well they did the first 2 (they scored the 13 but gave up a lot more) ... in the old NFL you could win 8 - 10 games scoring 13 - 16 and having a great D.. its almost impossible in todays NFL to win more than 6 games at the most if you only score 13 points.. also they had 2 games they looked good .. 1 they looked bad... bengals had 2 games they looked good... we have had... ughhh none .. and we looked worse in the second game than we did in the first...

I am just now watching the game on replay. Doing other things as well, so not intently watching. I just saw a terrible PI called on the ravens favorite play - chuck it deep down the sideline and get the cheap call. What a terrible call. Ball was way ob and if anything it was offensive PI. Also I see any hard hit in the secondary draws a flag. Football has really changed for the worse.

 

TTF with all due respect we are not a very good FB team,,,,we are not a well coached FB team.. we are nto a well conditioned FB team.. i see it ... the talking heads on tv see it ... the record last year proved it .. the PS play proves it.. not sure what more proof there is out there .. maybe we need to wait till oct and then see who is right... nothing in the world would make me happier than to come here and eat my words of a 7-9 or even 6-10 season. love to eat those words ...but my opinion is we were 8-8 last year and have even a worse outlook this year.... for 44% of the people here to predict a 11-5 of better record this season .. based on last year and this years PS is jsut rose colored glasses... as i said i would LOVE to be wrong.. see a 12-4 season and 7th SB ... but as i said before i think we have a hell of a lot better chance of winning 7 games this year (including the 4 pre season games) than winning a 7th SB trophy

Hines, I'll take a lot of the blame for some of those picks. I created that poll thread before camp and the preseason started, and of course before all of the injuries happened. I created it mainly for discussion and entertainment until camp started.

Someone else here (can't recall who at the moment) agreed to do another poll just prior to the actual season starting. I'm sure quite a few folks (myself inculded) may want to revise their predictions based on what all has transpired since that original poll was created.

 

YEP unfortunately many of us will revise down....but we could win a lot of games or lose a lot of games and still not be a real good or real bad team.. as i keep saying i see a ton of 16-`13 type games.. so a FG here and there will win/lose many games for us .... but i think thats because our D is that good and our O is that bad...

I think the reason everyone is laughing at you (and they are) is that you didn't come in with a general "We are bad and the Ravens are good." You said, "The Ravens look great against Carolina." But they did not look great. If points is your only barometer, then what about the points they allowed? And what about the games where we score lots of points but still lose? Did we look great against Oakland or Dallas last year?

See, it's because what you said didn't make any sense. That's all.
