Not to be a d!ck ,but 30 teams will not have done enough to make the SB, so should they all just stop trying to be the best they can be this year??

Well I would bet 1000 dollars right now that as long as Rodgers is healthy, and not worn out from the rigors of a full season, which he won't be at the beginning of camp/preseason/regular season, they can't beat him out, hell I would bet when he's fresh, not more than a handful of starting Qbs on other teams can beat him out. The problem is he won't stay that way. Be nice if we could keep him on a pitch count, but that would be to rely on the other Qbs making it worthwhile to do so.
What I'm trying to say is in short form is while fresh, it will be very difficult to beat the man out.

Making a clear declarative claim is not the same thing as claiming something is a fact.

The first goal is to have a realistic chance for the super bowl

Edwards was a bad pick, a big reason why the Steelers fired the GM after the 1999 season.

Burress was the right pick; it was just a weak draft for top talent. I mean, the Raiders picked a kicker in the first round in 2000.....

Is this fake news that Rodgers is coming this weekend? Kaboly says yes.

Without all the words. Neither pick made after two back to back losing seasons helped us win a SB. Yet many of the guys that did actually help us win a SB were taken after winning season. Answer is this true , or not?? Yes , or no.

It's true what you're saying, that most of the players were drafted after winning seasons.

And I never said the Steelers need 3-5 losing seasons to become great... Just one or maybe two would be enough if they get the right player (a franchise QB)... which is why the 2003 season allowed the Steelers to have a chance to compete for championships for several years... Franchise QBs are extremely hard to find, unless you are lucky

I think if he does come back it helps the TEAM. He knows several of the players already. He's got the experience to get this offense rolling along with the new additions. Teach not just the new QBs to work as a unit but the whole system. New RBs, New WRs, New additions to the line, TEs not named smith, but make it a unit, easier than throwing a first time starter at it. Not to struggle but to play winning football together.

I think if Aaron was wanting to do all this teaching he would have already signed and been part of the 1st round of OTAs. I can see Aaron waiting all the way to training camp at the end of July to sign, so he does not have to be part of the all the OTAs, and the Mandatory Mini Camp.

And, my long shot Rodgers money, is still on the Denver Broncos with Bo Nix's injury problems this offseason. Denver damn near made the Superbowl last year with Jarrett Stidham at QB in the AFC Conference championship game.

MM actually stated he would prefer not to have AR at voluntary OTA so he could work with the two young guys

Part of the problem last year was Rodgers did not play in any preseason games. Not that he needs to learn anything, but the team needs to come together in a game scenario. Practice is not a game and preseason is not the regular season either.

If Rodgers played the first half in each game he might find more cohesion and better timing from the other teammates.

I'm not saying he's coming as the teacher but as a guy that will make the transition smooth for the whole team. They will learn by watching how he runs the system. He will be vocal as we have seen. I don't think many realize how different every aspect of this team will change from the way it has been for the last 19 years.

Rodgers played arguably his best game of the season in the opener, so I'm not sure that logic is going to hold up.
