Rodgers signed June 6 last year

No reason to expect anything sooner this year

    Could

Maybe their conversations took a turn when Allar was drafted

But the tag was a good move no matter

All makes sense now. Arizona entered the picture so the Steelers protected themselves with the tag.

if he doesn't sign we could end up with about a 6 million dollar QB room. that is about as low as it goes cap wise.

Would be the perfect time to build around the pillars of JPJ, Harmon, Benton, Herbig, Queen, and this young offensive line. I'd rather overachieve with a youth movement than remain stagnant.

Have no idea what he is going to do but given the tag play, I’d say this definitely has some legs.

On the one hand, the argument is he came here because of Tomlin and he is gone now but on the other, he forged some good relationships while he was here so even without Tomlin that has to be a lure. Does he really want to start over again.

On the flip side there is how his tenure in GB ended with him and McCarthy not being on good terms, so is he really going to be a driving factor for Rodgers to come here.

Arizona has better weather, some big playmakers of their own, maybe the best TE in football, a stud RB just drafted, an electric WR that hasn’t met his potential yet and has ties to the new HC.

Another odd thing, as far as I know, still no contract offer from the Steelers.

The Steelers have typically gone into the season with 3 QBs.

    Currently, Rudolph, Howard, and Allar.

If Rodgers comes back, it would likely mean a room of Rodgers, Howard, and Allar.

Honestly, which is the better QB room? If for no other reason, I would hope Rodgers comes back for the benefit of the QB room as a whole.

I hope Rodgers signs elsewhere. Another example of another team saving the Steelers from themselves.

    However, I think it’s a made-up story.

Here is the author’s bio: https://muckrack.com/bernadette-giacomazzo-3/bio

“…consistently delivered high-impact content that drives traffic, sparks conversation, and shapes culture.”

“…previously led SEO growth across RetailWire's and Blavity’s media brands, boosting traffic by over 300% at each outlet. Her content expertise spans beauty, fashion, finance, pop culture, and lifestyle, with a signature voice that is bold, witty, and informed.”

While it is possible a brand optimizer with no history of breaking a football story has something no one else has (it is Aaron Rodgers after all) ; I think it’s suspicious and likely fabrication.

here’s hoping Rodgers is a Cardinal by the end of the week.

The Steelers being held captive by 42 year old Aaron Rodgers just shows how far this franchise has fallen.
