    The comment by this guy about him not thinking he would go this early because he was at the golf course is just stupid. Golf takes a little while to play in case he doesn't know, and it's pretty obvious he didn't want to have the draft party at his house with 100 of his close friends and family because.....he's at the golf course.

    I wonder how many of these young men were sitting in their houses with the draft on TV praying for their name to be called or a phone call from a team.....and it never came? Would they have been less of a reach because they were in their house watching the draft? What a moronic statement.

    He can't control what he can't control, so he decided to play a round of golf.

    I like Kayden Wetjen even more now. Like someone I would like to have a beer with and shoot the **** with.

    You're right. He does not screw around. He probably knows exactly what he is going to do before he catches the kick or punt. He just catches the ball and hits it. Then he has that vision and the moves to take it to the house.

    I love that about him, and by doing that he rarely has short returns and that really helps field position.

    Most of the draft analysis is brain dead. Surprised to see sucuna dull take from the Athletic. They usually do better. But not unique. It's just too difficult to find folks actually talking about on field stuff when reacting to draft picks. It's mostly fluffy nonsense.

    I wonder if this ST Coordinator Danny chews as much gum as the previous one.

    Hopefully he knows how to best use his talent on returns.

    Hate to break it to you, but like 80-85% of the players taken in the draft are “developmental” players. Less than 40 guys are truly “plug and play” and many of the players that start are truly still developmental. They’re just good enough to start right away and will continue to develop over the next couple years.

    and better prospects says you. It’s pretty clear the Steelers had a plan and it looks like they executed on it. You can hate on the day 3 picks all you want, but it’s very likely that our 4th and 5th round picks will be the starting KR/PR and starting FB respectively. I think people are just trying to hate on it just to hate on it. I get that it’s been frustrating to be a Steeler fan for a bit, but sitting here and acting like our draft sucked because we didn’t take the players you liked (and before any of them even step foot into camp) is wild.

    I’m with you here. It’s a stressful thing to just sit around and hope to get a phone call (potentially for hours). Is it better to sit at home and stare at your phone? Golf took his mind off it and when he got the call, it was the same as if he got it at home. Our return game has been a$$ for a while now… let’s hope this kid comes in and changes that for us.

    I'm not putting words in your mouth. It's my own response to the mindless comments writers try to make to put players down in their own way.

    If they plan on involving him as more than just a return guy, that would certainly explain why they took him in the 4th.

    Sounds about right. If they had taken him in the sixth round, I wouldn't have such a problem with it. Passing on Kyle Louis for him in the fourth was stupid. I know Louis is a projection, likely having to move from linebacker to safety, but the guy is a dynamic playmaker. They could use more of those on defense.

    If this is his highlights on kick and punt returns from last season well hmm, not feeling it. More than half look pretty ordinary. Hope he can contribute on offense as well;

    Just because they had a plan and executed it doesn't mean it was a good plan.

    One thing is for sure, Khan drafted some really likable guys. Freaking dude is playing golf on draft day. Talk about chill.
