If there are actually 1st round players still on the board, and you take a Tackle in the 1st just because you need one even if he's not a 1st round player. That's a reach. I feel like I'm having a relapse back to Broderick Jones pick. I would bet real money he wasn't even their 3rd Tackle on their board.

 

I’m fine with taking what COULD be the best tackle in the class in a couple of seasons at 21 overall.

while the OL improved last season; it’s not like they were all that great. Until they have an improved OL; the whole rest of the offense has a low ceiling.

 

In 4 years the Steelers have drafted 3 offensive tackles in the 1st round; this is not a good way to build your franchise. Khan takes a beating on this one.

One thing I’ve noticed in here the last decade. Is when the enthusiasm is weak on the pick, that player usually is a let down.

Steelers have been very weak at selecting impact ready players for a while.

 

There are still some guys out there that fit the mold of Kyle Hamilton. Kyle Louis from Pitt has a similar skillset.

 

What a disaster. Another B. Jones project.

I went through all this with Broderick Jones pick. I didn't hate the position, I hated who, and when that position was taken. Lots of raw talent, and not very much experience, and that year we could have had CB Gonzalez to go with Porter, and thus year there are 3 safety left, and two CBs worth the pick. I hope I'm eating my words in a few years

 

Funny, I don’t see a franchise QB anywhere among this draft class.

 

Did the Steelers not have enough interest in him for a invite, or did yhey believe he would not be there at 21?
