    Not me anyway.

    Hope he's OK.

I always assume people just get tired of internet BS.

Hard pass watching that. The last thing I want to hear is Bags Tomlin again with his word salad and stupid clichés.

Tomlin commentating: that was certainly a big play there. You can tell that this team has standards and that the players live up to those standards. What they have to do now is to capitalize on that play so that they can get inside field goal range to get points in the board. Then they can go on defense. And you know that defense wins games. And this game is definitely winnable with this defense. The defense can force a turnover and win the turnover battle. That gives the ball back to the offense which will give the offense the opportunity to use up a lot of clock.

I think you need a few more Tomlinisms, and things of that nature, to engineer a more realistic emulation of Tomlin because as you know, there's a fine line between making wine and stepping on grapes in the business of simulating the great coach! LOL

Something more along the lines of, "That was a significant play—no question about it. You see their standard and you see the men upholding it. But it's not about collecting moments, it's about stacking wins. It's about what those men are willing to sacrifice in the course of securing points. That one play is meaningless if you don't cross the finish line to secure victory. They've got to leverage it, get themselves into scoring territory and put an exclamation point on their work.

Then it's time to play defense—and we all understand that component of the game, defending every blade of grass as a catalyst for victory. This is a winnable football game because of that group. They’ve got to create the splash play, win the turnover battle, and reestablish possession for the offense.

For the offense, they can't blink, it's about managing those critical possession downs, bleeding the clock, not living in their fears and most importantly, not turning the ball over.

Worked for Madden. Maybe Tomlin gets a video game franchise too?

I do remember he was unjustly attacked on the site. Maybe he had enough.

Love it. Tomlin staying around football this year, means he is one step closer to becoming a head coach somewhere else; and the Steelers are one step closer to getting a 1st round pick when they trade him to their new team. I was fearing Tomlin would want to take a few years off from football.

Denver traded their 1st and 2nd to the Saints when Sean Payton came back to the NFL, after having been retired for 1 year. I would assume Tomlin could get the Steelers similar compensation.

If it is next year the Steelers could be picking up draft picks they can use in the 2027 draft to move up and get their franchise QB. :)

    Nope

One year on TV will just make him one year farther away from coaching

    Just like Bill Cowher

No. Bill Cowher left for personal Family reasons; nothing like why Mike Tomlin left town.

Sean Payton, like Mike Tomlin, left so they could get out of town; not away from football so they could spend more time with their family.

Really??? So, you think Bill Cowher leaving his Superbowl winning team to spend more time with his dying wife, is the same as Mike Tomlin leaving?
