The cover band I was playing in '91-'92... we were already playing "Man in the Box" "We Die Young" "Bleed the Freak" & "Outshined" before we even heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Not disagreeing, but many a time, coaching changes bring subpar offensive plans or plays and a bad OC can wreak havoc on QBs. We know about bad OCs unfortunatly (the former HC, I'll stop naming him, ran an OC rehabilitation program trying to make lemonade out of lemons).

Allar is alot like Nussmeier, but both clearly suffered from crappy offensive coaching (thanks to stupid/conservative head coaches). It's wise to look at both last year and the prior years in combination.

I'm not sure I know that song, but I'm terrible with song names. I'm so bad with song names that once, while playing out ,the band I was in the other singer said we were going to do a song, and I totally thought it was a different song, and everyone in the band started playing one song, and I started playing another. LoL Talk about a terrible sound. LoL.

It's basically just Tim playing his acoustic guitar and just listening to it makes my fingers hurt. It's on the live album that Dave Matthew's did with him at Luther College back in the day.

I will definitely check it out as soon as Im done here. I probably have heard it before, but I'm terrible with song names, and therefore can't place it .

I checked it out, and I had seen it before, as I thought I just didn't remember the name, but when You said Dave Matthew's it brought back a glimmer of memory. LoL. So I went , and checked it out again . Very cool.

Hey if groups kept the same sound we would have been denied the greatest song of Styx, A MASTERPIECE which has only grown in relevance during the age of AI

Lesson of the song that we only now can fully understand?
We must be POLITE to AI before the rise of the machines in the hopes that they spare us.

I know whenever I use ChatGPT or Gemini, I always follow the answer with, "Domo Arigato Mr Roboto".

Mr. Roboto is pure 80's cheese at it's finest. Truly a masterpiece.

Oh come on. Nothing wrong with pure 80's cheese. These were other goofy 80's masterpieces....

    A,E,I,O,U sometimes Y- Ebn Ozn
    Safety Dance- Men Without Hats
    Rock Me Amadeus- Falco
    Pacman Fever- Buckner & Garcia
Our House- Madness (Madness actually had some legit tunes, ska/rock band in '80's; English Beat band had the same sound)
Video Killed the Radio Star- Bugles
Come on Eileen- Dexy's Midnight Runners
Keep Your Hands to Yourself- Georgia Satellites (I hate this song with a passion, but many people like it)

The tension for the intro to Renegade is awesome.

Then the rest of the song starts and it's...OK. Just doesn't go at all with the beginning of the song IMO (which is by far the best part).

Whenever metalheads go down memory lane I praise Mr Roboto just to wait for your exact response.
    Happens EVERY TIME. :lolol:

BTW, biggest Styx hit since 1980? Mr Roboto.

Somebody has got it on the Playlist and only listens with headphones along with his list of Taylor Swifts greatest hits!!! You know she sells too many records to be just little girls.

    Nothing wrong with that.

I've listened to a sh!t ton of metal bands and metal music over the years and I have nothing but praise for Mr. Roboto. I remember buying the "Kilroy was Here" cassette tape at National Record Mart at the local mall in '83.

The reason why Mr Roboto is peerless among this group is the SERIOUSNESS with which it is sung. The sincere EARNESTNESS of it. :lolol:

"Safety Dance"? "Come on Eileene?" Nah that is just silly fun. Cheezy is cool when it is deliberate.

Looking like you are trying to create art and it is unintentionally cheesy? That is a joke.
