LoL. I feel like I'm the only person that has ever eaten smoked fish. It's delicious.

She will eat smoked salmon on a bagel with cream cheese

Smoked wings are a no way Jose

Plus she’s not a big meat eater anyway and I grew up hanging out in my grandfathers butcher shop

Can you freeze leftover brisket? If so, wonder if affects the taste?
I make big pots of bean soup and vegetable soups
    Freeze in individual silicone containers
Just had some beans for lunch today
Band has been playing non stop for a few hrs now
    Wife doesn’t like the music
    Said the band stinks

    To freeze cooked brisket,
cool it completely, slice it into portions, and vacuum-seal it to prevent freezer burn. For best quality, keep the slices in their juices or freeze within 3 months, though vacuum-sealed brisket can last up to 12 months. Freeze sliced brisket on a sheet pan first to prevent sticking.
Best Methods for Freezing Cooked Brisket
    • Vacuum Sealing: Place portions in a vacuum bag and seal
. This method ensures the best flavor and prevents freezer burn, keeping it good for up to 12 months.
    • Portioning: Slice the brisket into smaller, manageable portions or individual servings before freezing.
    • Flash Freezing: Lay slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for roughly three hours (making "brisket popsicles") before moving them into a freezer-safe bag or container.
    • Freezing with Liquid: If the brisket was cooked with broth or au jus, freeze it alongside the liquid to keep the meat moist.
    Steps for Success
    1. Cool Completely: Always allow the brisket to cool down to room temperature before freezing to avoid condensation.
    2. Use Airtight Packaging: Wrap tightly in plastic wrap, then seal with aluminum foil or use a vacuum sealer.
    3. Label and Date: Label all packages with the date and type of meat.
    4. Optimal Storage Time: While it can last longer, for the best taste and texture, use within 3–4 months.
    How to Reheat Frozen Brisket
    • Method 1: Hot Water Method (Vac Sealed): Place the vacuum-sealed package in a pot of simmering water (not boiling) until warmed through.
    • Method 2: Skillet: Thaw in the refrigerator first, then reheat in a skillet over low heat with a small amount of broth or au jus to keep it moist.
    • Method 3: Oven: Reheat low and slow, wrapped in foil with some beef broth, until it reaches an internal temperature of

Yes you can freeze brisket but it won’t be the same

I don’t buy meat and freeze it I buy fresh and cook fresh as much as I can

When you freeze meat the water in the cell structure bursts the cells and when you thaw it you will notice a lot of liquid

Now you are starting with a dry piece of meat

I went to a Van Halen concert on the 1984 tour and David Lee Roth was wearing the assless chaps on stage.

I have never been the same and am scarred for life after seeing him do his jumping splits in those things.

I've frozen brisket, but I always let everything I freeze cool down to room temp , and then refrigerator before freezing once it's been cooked.

Rodgers ( Age 42 ) is more adverse taking hits, more so than when he was in his prime. He gets rid of the ball very quickly and plays it " safe ".

    The vacuum seal is key.

Try socking it in the freezer covered for a bit. Let the brisket firm up. Then vac seal it. Seems to suck less liquid out that way.

can’t tell if it really does enough to justify the extra step though.

    just wanted to participate.
